Use no grease or oil spray, and make sure the King pin is free of debris. This is a standard size that requires a snug fit for insertion. If you're still falling, check for excessive wear on your pin and replace it as soon as possible (this is a safety issue).
It fits any 5th wheel pin and sits between the pin and the hitch, eliminating the need to grease your hitch. Measure your hitch base plate to determine whether you need the 10 in or 12 in lube plate.
I don't know if the center diameter of the 10" and 12" disks should be the same without further research, but I believe they should. The RV King pin size appears to be a standard 2", but I'm sure there are some oddities out there that I'm unaware of.
I'm not sure how thick it is. However, we've been using it for a year and use it on a daily basis because we work full-time. I would advise you to

If it wasn't so difficult to set up, I would have given it a five-star rating. We couldn't get the disc to stick on the king pin even with four of us working together, and pounding it with a rubber mallet didn't help. Finally, I used my trusty dremel tool to gently sand the tabs' tips, resulting in a nice tight fit. The disk is of good quality and thickness, and it is flexible enough to avoid shattering under pressure.
I prefer to use this Hitch Plate because it eliminates the need to lubricate the top of the fifth wheel plate. I've tried other brands, but I prefer this one because of the slots for removing dirt; it's a little difficult to press on at first, but it stays in place longer if you don't trim it down.
It really works. It has a little over 10,000 miles on it and is in excellent condition. There will be no more squeaks, clunks, or having to deal with grease. It keeps the new hitch looking new, unlike the old one, which has rusted. An upgrade that was well worth it.
I like the larger radius, but it appears that after a couple of trips, all of the larger ines have issues. The inner circle distorts and then refuses to stay in place. I need to lay it on the ground and pound it flat with a hammer before I can use it for a trip. Then do it all over again. I've always used the black ones and have never had any problems with them. I just can't seem to find a black ring with a larger diameter.
It's a good fit, does the job, and doesn't fall off like some other brands do. 3-day delivery with USPS 3-day delivery with USPS 3-day delivery with USPS 3- 5 days for business. A fantastic purchase!.
I've been pulling fifth wheels for 20 years and this is the first one to break the first time I used it.
On a 45' long 5th wheel weighing 3,600 lbs. , I used this well-made plate. the weight of a pin With some effort, I was able to slide onto the pin by hand, and it has stayed in place so far. I would buy this item again without hesitation.
