Questions & Answers
The locking jaws are contained in the same head units throughout the B series. It should work because of the W hitches.
While I am not familiar with the specifications of other hitches, the connection is standardized so that a hitch can be used with any trailer, so I believe it will work because the device is the same size as the trailer pin.
Although I haven't seen a printed weight limit, I do have the B. It's called the W Companion Slider and it's about 300 pounds. I didn't think twice about putting it on my hitch. B& W would never release a light-weight lifter.
Big! 25" long by 2" wide by 2" high.

For the B, this is a well-made tool. W hitch for a companion. The lifting device is simply inserted into the hitch's jaws. Then, using the front end loader on the tractor, attach a come-along. I make the cable almost snug by wrapping it around the device and attaching the hook to it. Then I climb into the truck's bed and begin to tighten the cable slowly. This removes the hitch from the socket without the need for manual labor. Then I lift and back up, carrying the hitch to the shop, where I place it on a pallet and unhook it. Love it. You can also get an easy install by reversing the steps.
Someone mentioned in one of the reviews that this lifter fit their Pullrite 20K hitch. Well, it won't fit a Pullrite 20K superglide, but I figured it might work because it's a BW product for their 5th wheels. Could you make it work? I suppose so, but as you can see from my photos, all it takes is a slight movement to get you into trouble. Apart from that, I am confident that this is an excellent product, and I was looking forward to using it instead of chains and scratching up my hitch. So, if you're wondering if this product will work with a Pullrite Superglide, the answer is no.
I wish I had purchased one of these many years ago. My 5th wheel hitch is installed and removed with the help of an engine hoist. I used to lift it with rachet straps, but now all you have to do is slide it into place, lock the jaws, and the hitch is ready to come out (or go in). br>The hitch is nearly level when it is hung. It's a huge time saver, and it's nothing like the headaches I had previously.
This is a great little item that I bought for my new B. W 3300 fifth-wheel hitch for a companion vehicle. I installed a Partsam 440lbs Automatic Lift Electric Cable Hoist with Wireless Remote Control on the ceiling of my garage, and now getting my hitch in and out of my F350 is a breeze. I've just put it on a new four-wheel cart, which is a necessity for me at 63 years old. There's no need to worry about a sore back on vacation. I wish I had done it a long time ago.
This is a fantastic little find. I can take it down and put it back up. set up my B W Companion is simple and quick to install, and there's no risk of the hitch being damaged. The Companion maintains a great level of equilibrium. I simply clamp it in place and use my front end loader to drive up to the truck bed, attach a chain or strap to the hook, and lift it straight up and out. It reverts to its original form. Excellent product.
It's much easier to lift the hitch out of the truck with a hoist than it is to rig up lifting eyes, etc. It's nice and stout.
This was one of the best 5th wheel hitch investments you can make, as both the hitch and the lifting tool are made in the United States. It was a breeze to lift the hitch into the truck's back!.
I use this with a chain hoist, and it works great for lifting and repositioning items. My truck's hitch is being installed. When I need my truck bed, he returns it to me.
