There is no need for replacement since it has been built ROCK SOLID for eternity. It was absolutely awful to look at the packaging This was the worst hitch I have ever received - damaged and bumped and with one of the mounting wings sticking out There was no packing material in the box when I opened it. Rather than be folded up and placed in a box, the hitch sat idly in a box that was too large. Packaging of this sort is an idiotic mistake. The warning has been given. You cannot install your system if you don't have a mechanical skill set and plenty of tools, and I wouldn't suggest it to anyone who does not know much about technology This installation will be done by a mechanical person. there were no wallers to contend with I thought I was being crazy when I drilled the subframe mounting holes, but I knew what I was getting into so what the heck. There is good quality in the product, but it is packed poorly.

I was surprised how poorly packaged this was. It doesn't make sense that it will resist rust and chips when it has already been scratched up and dismantled. In the second place, ensure you have an angle grinder so that you can cut into your car so that the bolts can be inserted. Also, you'll have to drill into the heat shield when the exhaust is dropped. This looks like a much more simple task than it is, and the pictures are mostly worthless low resolution black and white photographs. It's quite possible the instructions aren't online because the tutorials look so complicated. If you do not own a floor jack and jack stands, I would not recommend this method to anyone who is not mechanically inclined.

There is no fit for the products. Despite buying a very common car (a Subaru Forester, 2019), we were careful to order the exact hitch we needed. Our mechanic removed the bumper, wheels, exhaust, etc. , only to discover that the hitch would not fit for whatever reason - we will seek a replacement. It's not close at all - The size is two inches off. Where do we go from here? They are the sons of B**** In this case, the three hours of wasted labor should compensate me for what I'd have to pay, and I still don't have a problem. You should order from a vendor or manufacturer who provides a S&H invoice.

The 2020 Forrester report has been installed. The repair took me a few hours from the time of set up to cleanup - as a carpenter, I can do it better than a mechanic. This is a good hitch and not too difficult to install if you are mechanically inclined, are prepared to disassemble and slightly modify your car (enlarge a hole by filing or grinding), and own a torque wrench. Due to my collection of extensions and torque options, I could not accurately torque a couple nuts, but I could tighten them with ease. On YouTube, you can find many good installation videos. My model was aided a great deal by a Forrester video within a year after it was made.

Item was well made, packaging could be better but there was no damage to the item. The instructions are easy to follow and it only took me an hour to install it. In order to make the frame hole and width wider, I just used a burr bit on my drill.
At this point it helps to have someone to help you with the bolts, it's an awkward 40 lbs.

My previous purchase was the same brand, and it arrived early. It is easier with two people on the final lift to bolt down the piece, but you could do it by yourself if you have multiple jackstands. In the kit you will find everything needed to run the bolts through the frame rail, and the instructions state that you should grind out a larger access hole to allow for the bolts to pass through. After a few minutes, I used the Dremel rotary tool to finish the job.
