Plug-and-play wiring harness that looks like it came from the factory

Questions & Answers

Have you followed the wiring connection instructions to the letter? The wiring of the hitch to activate all the trailer lights takes some time to figure out for me. Is it as good as the factory?

Hello Larry, yes, the wiring instructions are very easy to understand and If you want to wire it up, just remove the two left-hand screws at the rear left tail light and take out the tail light from its mounting location. Having enough space to adjust the hitch means you can feed the wire down to it. A plug-in tail light wiring harness is simple to install because there is only one way to connect it to the factory wiring. Put the two screws back in the two holes followed by the tail light. You need them to be tight, but don't overdo it. Make sure the wiring runs along the frame underneath. Handy wire clips connect to factory-installed holes on the underside of the car to keep the wiring upright The wiring harness ends at a clip on the hitch. Tie it to the clip and it is finished. I'm not too familiar with automotive electrical, but after I had the wiring installed, I was able to hook up the alternator in under

In what category does the hitch rank?

will handle loads up to 3500 pounds, which is as heavy as you will be able to

What year and model will this fit on the 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sports?

It says 2007-2008 in the description, but I am not certain There is nothing that fits better than a 2007 model.

This will fit my 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, but maybe a stupid question, but is there a way to add it to my Jeep without it being difficult?

Your 2017 JKU should be able to fit it. Taking me no more than one hour to install, mine is up and running. There is no need to drill. In the cross member at the rear, mounting holes have already been drilled. Start wiring the harness at the hitch and feed it all the way to the tail light. A piece of foam has been glued over the hole where the wires go to the tail light.

Original Equipment Manufacturers It seems to be a quality product it is easy to install It turned out to be a great result

My recent purchase of a pre-owned vehicle was a certified pre-owned I am the owner of a 2013 Wrangler 2 An entrance. There is a 16' speedboat that weighs about 1200 lbs. I need to pull it. It cost over $200 to get a hitch set from the dealer The Amazon offer was too good to pass up, so I proceeded to check Amazon's prices before I accepted it. I went for it because it looked pretty much the same as the dealer issue, so I spent just under $60 on After a little more than an hour was spent getting the wrenches, droplight and creeper out, the actual installation took just a little less time than the pulling procedure In the kit carton, all hardware was packaged inside plastic envelopes or foam sleeved with tape. Despite the lack of an instruction sheet, reading other reviews and watching videos filled in any technical gaps. If there were a mfg oversight, it was probably due to the simplicity of the product. In one case, I crazy glued the washers to the hitch on the nut side of the assembly following the advice of another reviewer. They found it to be helpful for three of four A couple of connectors fell off due to the welding line on the connector holder, but this was not a big problem. Knipex slip joint pliers were used to hold the nuts until they started rolling. The Jawex is similar to a Channelock, but the jaws are thinner, making it easier to fit between the frame and The angle I was facing under the vehicle made it difficult to use the torque wrench at the same time. For the two nuts toward the driver's side, I simply let the open end wrench turn until it touched the hitch itself, then used it as a I used a screwdriver under the bumper and frame to stop the open end wrench from turning on the nuts toward the passenger side because there was no tool to stop the wrench from turning at those locations. You can see this technique in the photo. regards to the wiring kit, I had a slight issue with the lights not working. Connectors were my fault for not paying attention to them. As a result of my overbearing nature, I was concerned with pushing too hard on them for fear that they would break. My Knipex plyers come in handy when they need to be pushed together, so I did that as well. There was a click from both connectors, which is what they are I was able to turn all lights on. Wire tubing is comprised of four push stays that are pushed into a predetermined position The zip-up closure is not possible due to the existing holes in the frame The necessity of ties cannot be overstated. The factory was created as a result of all of the elements The hitch and wiring kit can be installed at the same time.

This is a great I thought this was an excellent kit
5/5

You can do it yourself pretty easily. On factory-built cars, it's easy to install A hole was provided in the crossmember of the rear frame. A few surprises Stainless steel bolts of grade 8 quality. I like this kit because the hardware is usually crap. Using the kit and the tools included, I was able to complete the electrical portion The cable is wired as a "Y" connector so there are no wire splices. Remove this connector from the rear light, put the new one in the middle, and reconnect these parts. This extension slides out of the bottom of the Jeep through the already existing hole and even has a push button so you can engage the hitch in one hand. Because I am overly cautious, I wrap my head in a scarf. hiccup I had was I needed to open the bumper cover in order to find enough space to place the washers and bolts. These bolts have nuts on them. Pictures show a few examples of how it is installed. You can add a dog if you want.

It's a very well made product, and the installation is very simple
5/5

This book is well worth the price. The quality of this entire package has been very impressive for me as a DIY'er. A nice finish is found on the receiver, and it is well constructed. The wiring harness could not have been easier to install and also appears to be well made. It looks like it will last for years and still look good. Neither cutting nor splicing is necessary. All devices can be plugged in and played. It took less than a half hour for the receiver and wiring to be installed. In reality, I have pretty much every tool you can imagine and this made life easier for me. The bumper does not have to be loosened or removed. To attach the bolts to the Jeep, I brought them through from the front and nailed them in place from the rear. Because my fingers were short and fat, I couldn't insert my fingers into the narrow space to grasp the nuts, but I had extra long needle nose As the nuts were started, a long open end wrench slid under them to hold them while I tightened them. As I said, I didn't purchase the Jeep's tow package when I bought the vehicle, and I'm glad for that decision! I believe the factory package is $495 (if I'm not mistaken). A quick bit of sweat equity helped me save almost $450 with this TYGER combo.

I was impressed with the quality of this hitch
5/5

It is solidly built and it appears that someone or something put effort into how the welds, painted, and welded parts are done The Amazon picture does the hitch no justice. It looks much better on my Jeep than it does on Amazon. When using the supplied bolts and washers and Nylocks nuts, you will need a 18mm short 6 point impact socket 1/2 inch drive and torque wrench, because these bolts need to be torqued to 110 ft/lbs. It is PDS. I used an adjustable wrench to hold the nut opposite the bolt head, as instructed, and to torque the bolt attached to the nut when you use an adjustable wrench. The overall hitch and wiring kit on this page is the right one if you plan on installing a hitch on your new Jeep. Mine is a 2018 Sahara JKU AEV, so it's the right one for you. It appears to be easy for me to install the wiring, and it is plug and play
I liked the looks and how it is build, so if you are on the fence about a hitch, I would choose TYGER.
