My battery holds a charge for only a short period of time. May of 2018 saw the assembly being disassembled and June of 2018 its installation. The rubber on one of the ends of the product broke into two pieces at the beginning of September, causing it to be Even though the wing nuts were not overtightened, the bolt snapped nonetheless. My recommendation for this product would be a NO.
In the process of installation, it broke in half.
This is garbage. The only way I could rate it zero stars is I broke the rubber tie down after only two months of use. Is that true?.
Honestly, it worked, but it took some redneck engineering to get it to fit just right. Battery with a wide neck could not fit in the case. You should be able to connect it directly across the battery if that helps. If the tie downs need to be offset, it does not work well. This problem has now arisen less than six months after it was first.
This kit is what I use for my batteries in my GMC motor home. It is a great product and I recommend it to anyone who wants to secure their.
The Bravo Braille Battery 1821 Universal Mount Kit / Rubber Tie Down is a 10" round cord with a rubber tie down. Bravo, you are a hook.
My 1997 Nissan Pathfinder lost the original battery hold down, so I had to buy this. Replacing this item was an excellent idea. In order to make one of the threaded rods fit the hood, I had to flatten it, thereby reducing its length. is a bit difficult to make it thread again since you have to have a die. But otherwise it is a great product.
