originally bought a Ram 1500 and an EZ hitch weight distribution hitch (having same parent company as Equalizer and EZ hitch) for my travel trailer with a 2" shank, I then bought a Ram 2500 diesel which is about 2" in length. There are three inches more height than my 1500, plus there are two more inches. A 5" receiver is used with this hitch. Because I used this Shank instead of a 2, I didn't have to use one. My 5" hitch adapter and EZ hitch just adjusted to the new shank and I was able to get my travel trailer level again thanks to the adapter. We saved a lot of money ordering the new Shank from Amazon instead of going directly to Equalizer.
The device I use with my RAM is the 2500. 9000 pounds is the weight of the camper I pull. In addition to Equalizer load leveling hitches, I also use a sway bar. There is a 2nd gear in my truck. The receiver tube was a 5 inch tube, and I was using a shank that was 2 inches long. In the end, it allowed for more play between the truck and trailer, but didn't stop it from working. You're going to love this one. There is a lot of weight to this and it feels My opinion is that it is good.
A combination of this adjustable shank and Equalizer's 90001200 weight distribution system made the tandem handle like one unit, no matter which direction it goes from.
This is a very heavy duty product. There's no doubt this is a sturdy I have a curt weight distribution hitch and this works well. I was able to get the ball down to 22 inches with my 2019 F250 stock height From the top of the ball to the ground, the distance is 1/2 inch. In this case, I drilled an additional hole in the fender and it is at the perfect height for my trailer of 23-inches The width of the inch is 1/2. Although there is still a lot to do, there is a good 13-month timeline to follow The floor has a clearance of 14 inches from the bottom of the shank to the ground.
It evolved from my Equalizer hitch that used an older 2" shank to suit the Sierra 2500 HD the new 2 1/2" shank replaced the older 2" shank. It also fits perfectly for me to add another inch or so to the drop.
This was required for me since I am pulling a 30 foot enclosed trailer with a drag car, a golf car, and other necessary items and I wanted to make sure that it was a heavy enough hitch this is a very.
Fits as designed and is built. I traded in my 1500 ram for a 2500 4x4 and have to get the WDH up and running with a new shank.
A very good product. On my Ford F-150 I was in need of this A travel trailer based on the 350 and the Puma. There is a lot of weight to this item. It appears to be well made. As soon as it is configured, I can simply drive thanks to my trust in it.
