Are you still making use of the black bolts that came with it or have you ordered the gold ones for more What is stronger, the one with more or the one with less?
The color of the bolt has nothing to do with the strength of the bolt. It would be the markings on it that would indicate where the grade is. Three marks would indicate a grade 5 and five would indicate a grade 8 which would be a stronger bolt.
Would it be possible to turn the mount ?

The size of the weld from the shank towards the plate is not to my liking. Mounting my hitch is a bit tricky because of this.
