Also. It's a truly incredible winch. I've had some of the best. However, it is not worth nearly as much as the m8000 or the lower-grade warn 10k winch. br>It's quick, but it's not that quick. It's powerful, but then again, so are the other warn offerings. br>You won't be sorry you bought it, but your wallet might be a little sad.

This is a fantastic winch. Definitely a 5-star item. br>However, the performance was somewhat disappointing. Sure, the line speed is faster without a load than most, the pulling power is where it should be, and the fit and finish are excellent. So, what exactly is the problem? The fact that my old warn M8000 still works perfectly. But I'm not convinced the winch is worth nearly $1000 more. The internals appear to be similar in both. br>As fantastic as this device is, I suspect it excels at emptying your wallet. When compared to a $500 M8000 winch, it just doesn't seem like "I got what I paid for. " br>I'm still not regretting my purchase.
This is the third Warn winch I've owned. It appears to be faster than my old x9000i, and it outperforms my M12000. The quality of the Warn winch is excellent, and I'm glad I didn't go with a Chinese winch. The synthetic rope has yet to win my heart. The rope is shorter and there appears to be barely enough room on the drum, which makes it easy to handle.
Warn 9. 5 XP- S was delivered exactly as described at an incredible price, and it was installed according to the instructions and was pre-programmed. Without any problems, I stretched the synthetic rope.
I bought this winch a long time ago and have never regretted it. With his hydrologic winch, this winch out-pulled the local tow company. This winch appeals to me greatly.
If I'd had an extra pair of hands, I could have probably finished it in one day. I pre- tense (i. e. Before using the winch for the first time, I stretched (as instructed) the wire cable, and it was during this process that I first experienced how fast the line speed of this winch is. I'm a big fan of what you've done so far. The construction of the winch appears to be bulletproof. br>br> The quality of the fit and finish is superb. It is also Warn - Durability and dependability are two words that come to mind when thinking about this product. I was debating whether or not to purchase a Warn because the price is so high in comparison to the competition. However, when I compare what I now own to what I used to own, it's clear that I've made the right choice. My friends have high-quality winches. I'm happy with my purchase and am confident that it will provide me with years of reliable service. ***** EDIT ****

br>*** EDIT ***** To date, it has rescued a submerged Kawasaki mule (not mine!) from a lake, my own truck from a mud pit deeper than I expected, a friend's truck from a ditch, and more than 50 dock pylons from a lake in preparation for new dock construction. br>br>The pylons are particularly noteworthy. Because the pylons were waterlogged, treated lumber sunk into a 3 foot deep mud bottom, they were pulled out over two weekends (all day, each day, due to setup/prep time for each pull) and were some of the most difficult pulls to do. These pulls were made perpendicular to the pylons' driving directions, with a tow strap looped around each one where it met the mud bed. To keep the truck from being dragged into the water, it was anchored to a massive tree with its rear receiver and another tow strap. br>br>This winch is the real deal!.
This winch has been in my possession for approximately 5 years. Has proven to be a true workhorse, first pulling my full-size Bronco and then mounting on my Jeep Rubi after I sold it. Line speed is extremely fast. I burned out the winch motor about two years ago while pulling a friend out of a mudhole. You say it's not a very good winch. Well, I later discovered that this was due to my own error in improperly installing the winch and failing to unplug the bottom drain holes (read the instructions!). The motor became clogged with water, and I'm surprised it lasted this long. Anyway, I returned the winch to Warn with a letter describing what had happened, and after they told me why the motor had failed, they still replaced it, even though it was out of warranty. It would have cost several hundred dollars to fix this otherwise. The technician who serviced my winch called me personally to explain what was going on, and then sent me some cool videos of wheeling stucks and other things. He's an extremely pleasant individual. The bottom line is that you can't go wrong with a company like Warn backing up your purchase. Yes, they are pricey, but as with most things in life, you get what you pay for in this case. This book comes highly recommended.
5XP. After being stuck one too many times, I seriously considered purchasing a winch. I continued to do research after research after research after research after research after research after research after research The 9. 5XP was always hailed as the best. This convinced me to take the plunge, and I've never looked back. The winch was put through three major pulls on the first day of use (each weighing a little more than 9500 lbs) and performed flawlessly each time. I'm confident that with this winch, I'll be able to get anywhere in my Tacoma at any time.
