If the control pack is mounted remotely from the AEV bumper, it may fit inside.
It is possible to use the remote either wired or wirelessly. Because the remote I have consumes batteries quickly, this dual capability is very useful. The control wire on the remote is 10 or 11 feet long.
To connect to the winch, the wireless remote must be turned on. Otherwise, the winch will be listening for that input all of the time.

Parts from a returned winch that have been damaged. This winch has been put to good use. The synthetic rope has been used, and it has abrasions all over it. Also, where the feet come into contact with the winch plate, they have scratches. A NEW WARN WINCH! was the first item on the listing. It's extremely dangerous to use a synthetic winch that's been damaged. Someone should be fired for selling this.
The first winch I got could pull the cable in but not out because it didn't have enough power. I called Warn and spoke with Judy, who quickly connected me with a local Warn distributor who promptly exchanged my defective unit for a new in-box replacement. The second unit performed admirably and was simple to set up. My Jeep JLU Wrangler served as the vehicle for my installation.
It does not include a chafe guard for the winch cable.
It was nearly fully assembled and wired when it arrived. All I had to do was run the cables to the battery, bolt her in, and voila! It's a dream to use.
When the remote is plugged in, the winch works fine, but the wireless feature does not. I assume the battery is bad because the led doesn't even try to light up. I'm unable to replace it because it requires an unusual battery.
Warn has provided me with my second winch. These are incredibly simple to set up and give you the assurance that you'll never be "stuck" again. I would never consider purchasing another winch. You pay a little more than others, but Warn has never failed me and will never fail you. Don't take any chances with your health.
I purchased this winch, which does not appear to be brand new. The winch arrived disassembled and without the necessary bolts to put it back together. I contacted the seller, and they advised me to contact them directly to warn them? Trend Auto did not warn me about a transaction I had with them. Take ownership of the goods you sell.
Warn is a great brand, but the wireless remote came with a dead battery. I contacted Warn, and they are sending me another; these are not rechargeable. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase. I got a new battery, and the wireless is now working perfectly.
