First and foremost, I believe that all Amazon items should allow me to rate their thickness in the same way that this review allows. Overall, I like the thickness and the value for money. That's all I need to know about any product I'll have to buy in the future. br>br>Weirdly, it's the THICKNESS that I'm here to discuss. I had a Kinedyne one of these and it worked fine, but it was made of thinner metal, which meant it would bend if your winch became stuck. That isn't an issue because this baby is as thick as a bowl of oatmeal. br>br>Handles are nice; however, I wish the crimped-on cap at the end was attached by something other than crimping (as with the Kinedyne), but we'll see if it comes off. If it does, I'll simply JB Weld it back on, so it's not a big deal. In any case, if you're looking for the best winch winder on the market, you've come to the right place.
When I have to drive through GA, SC, or NC and want to comply with DOT regulations by rolling my straps, I put them through both slots in my winches and use this tool to quickly wind the excess before tightening them down with my breaker bar. When dropping an empty trailer, some DC's I deliver require me to put straps on the winches, and winding them fully by hand will exhaust your forearms and take a long time. This is something that this tool is extremely useful for.
It functions properly and does not sag in the face of adversity. In my 20 years, I've used a lot of these, and this one appears to be durable.
for sure. If you drive a flatbed truck, this is a must-have item. It's not cheap metal, but it does a good job winding the straps on your flatbed.
Cheap. The first day, the cap came off due to the difficulty of simply welding it back on.
I enjoy using this tool because I deliver flatbed trailers in New York and New Jersey on a daily basis. It's light and flimsy, but it gets the job done. I've used rust-resistant strap cranks before, and this tool appears to be durable.
As stated in the advertisement. This is something I use on a daily basis, multiple times a day.
Get off the road. The item was returned unopened. It appeared to be of a high standard. There were no problems returning the item.
