I bought it as a gift for my daughter, who has to scrape ice off her windows, and I thought it would be useful. It helped with the snow, but when it rained the first time she used it, her car's seats and interior were soaked. The water that soaks the tabs and makes its way inside the car is channeled through the tabs that close inside the window. She ended up with wet seats and a messed-up interior. She's not sure she'll use it again because it's difficult to predict when snow will melt or turn into rain, and the mess wasn't worth the convenience.
Maybe it's just my car, but when the doors were closed on the tabs, rain poured in. I even attempted to reposition it, but water has the ability to move. Because there are only magnets on the bottom, not the top, you must close the doors on it or it will be blown away by the first breeze. This is a snowy scenario. In my opinion, the only thing to be on the lookout for is a guard. My solution is depicted in the image below. The flaps are brought over the door and held down by bungee cords with binder clips (available at any office supply store). When it rains heavily, the water soaks into the cover and saturates it. It takes a long time to dry, and moisture is trapped against the car. Rainfall that is light to moderate is effective.
I live in a wooded area, and the needles and sap from the trees are a major issue; they accumulate and stick to the paint and windshield. It would be necessary to use an air compressor to clear everything out before driving. It had become a very taxing task. Finally, I came across this cover. br>br>It worked fine during the dry summer months, but when it rained for the first time, I was surprised to find the seats completely soaked. br>br>According to the instructions, the flap that holds the unit in place must be trapped by the door, resulting in a leak that will soak your seats if it rains. Fortunately, I can secure the cover to the door handles with a strap. The cover then works fine. br>br>Attached are three photos that show the problem and solution. I hope that this is useful to others.
The magnets, on the other hand, appear to have come undone. I had a bad wind storm, and it scratched my car's hood. It wasn't very good. I was in a bad mood. However, I still use the cover and have removed the magnets, so keep that in mind.
It's been about a month since I bought it, and the magnets that hold the hood in place are falling out one by one. The magnets are held in place by the fabric and sewing, which wears away quickly. I bought another brand because it wasn't too expensive, and I'm thinking of reinforcing the area where the magnets are held in on the new one.
WHEN IT'S RAINING, DO NOT PUT THE SIDES IN THE CAR DOOR. We had a rainstorm, and my car was completely drenched. My car was full of water because the part that goes into the doors broke the seal.
The concept, price, and material used for this product are all great, but the five magnets that are supposed to hold the bottom part of the cover to the car's hood are simply not strong enough. As soon as we put the cover on, there was a "breeze. " The upper part held up well, but the bottom part fluttered in the "breeze," and the magnets smacked into my car's hood. To solve the problem, we're going to use stronger magnets. I'm hoping that the manufacturer will follow suit. Except for the magnets, it's very well made. br>Gary Abrams is a director who has worked on a number of films.
As a result, sunlight from the outside is reflected before entering the vehicle. When used as a sunshade, there is no need to be concerned about snow in the Phoenix valley!.
