These were ordered to replace one that had been knocked off by a cow. This works fine and arrived in plenty of time for us to transport the animal to the fair, but THERE WAS ONLY ONE IN THE PACKAGE. We only need one to replace the one that was lost, but I am not happy with paying more for less product, and I would return it if we didn't need it tomorrow.
I assumed I could use these for my goats, but they are designed for cattle (bull) horns only. They are of excellent quality and should last for many years, but they must fit properly. Hopefully, there will be some made specifically for goat horns.
In just a few days, I was able to get these off my cow. The one cow who managed to keep them on ripped the ball from the shaft, causing her horns to protrude from the top. This defeats the purpose of the exercise.
Nice, soft, and protective, but I couldn't keep them on with the supplied pipe clamps and had to use xtra duct tape to keep them in place.
