For 3/8 inch and larger tire chains, use this professional x-large tire chains plier.

Large tractor and Heavy Duty tire chains are 5" long.

Jaws that serve two purposes. Tire chains cross chain hooks are closed on one side and open on the other. The other side has an overlapping jaw that spreads the hooks on the tire chains.

Jaws are made of heat-treated alloy steel and are used to open and close tire chain/swing chain cross links.

On the 33, there are a lot of joints. The 5" plier converts 50 pounds of hand pressure into 4000 pounds of cutting pressure, making repairs quick and simple.

I've never seen such cheap-looking pliers. They held up and worked well when I used them to open 12 cross chains. On the basis of appearances, I give it a zero out of five stars. In terms of functionality, I give it five stars.
