It would appear to be the case. Only 2 or 3 inches down the backside of the tire is grasped.
It will be a close call.
Because it's adjustable, you should be able to wear it comfortably.
There was no carrying case or bag included with this item. It is very easy to fold. It helped me change the oil in my F250 this past weekend.

Great purchase for doing my Wrangler's daily maintenance! This is a must-have for shorter people who struggle to reach inside the engine. I'm currently using it with a 255/70/18 sized tire, but I wish it had a little more traction on the actual step because I deal with ice and snow and have slid on it. Husband purchased gorilla friction tape and used a heat gun to apply it, and voila! The only reason it gets a four out of five is because of the lack of traction.
It was ideal for my 2019 Subaru Outback, as I'm only 5'5" tall on good days. As a result, getting to the luggage rack can be difficult.
It accomplishes the task at hand. On top of my truck shell, I can get to the cargo box. The only drawback is that you'll need tools to adjust it; however, I believe pins would work well for quick adjustments, and that's something I'll try in the future.
I purchased a Ram TRX with 35-inch tires and a 2-inch lift because I couldn't reach into the bed to secure anything or even dry off my windshield, so I purchased this. It's simple to put together and fits perfectly over the massive tires. There isn't a lot of overlap to keep the tire in place, but it's secure.
It's very sturdy, but it's a lot heavier than I anticipated. It's a replacement for a similar item I bought several years ago, but it's twice as heavy as the original. I've already used it a few times and it can easily support a weight of 200 pounds.
First and foremost, there are no instructions for how to build it; instead, I had to figure it out by looking at pictures online; and, most importantly, it damages your wheels because there is no protection for the paint or metal, especially if you use it to lift heavy items onto your car. Unless you don't care about your wheels, this is not a good idea.
It truly works wonders. It's sturdy, but I'd be concerned if I were close to the 300-pound weight limit. It's adjustable in the way that it's described. I installed it over my stock tire on my 2006 Ram 3500 4x4 and it works perfectly. I'm a healthy 207 pounds. Thank you for a fantastic product. br>.
