Due to the price as well as the good reviews, I bought these since I am no longer able to find the ones I used to buy at my I am sorry to say, however, that the first one did not make it to winter before rusting! These are definitely not items I will purchase.
This is exactly what the description says! A really sleek and clean stainless steel frame polished to a bright chrome finish completes the piece. These plastic screws are covered with caps that do not only match the frame perfectly but also look very nice. It helps that the metal on the backside of the plate extends upward a bit so that the bottom of the license plate can fit snugly inside it. Great design! I'd mention one thing, if I had to get very picky the screw caps are a little large for my taste, but I'm quite happy with the product as a whole. While still framing the license plate, it does not cover the state name or vehicle registration sticker. An image of the frame on my front plate is attached.
This is a very bendable, cheap, ultra thin metal that is easily scratched. Despite the metal being about 1/16th thick, my license plate itself is thicker than the frame, the screws did not fit, and the plastic screws cover caps did not fit the factory bolts that came with the car. There was also roughness and sharpness at the edges of the frame on the back and inside corners. As with any purchase, you get what you pay for, but these won't be around long.
I like it. The problem is. License plates in California are mounted with top mounting tabs covering the year registration sticker. You NEED TO BEWARE of the lower hooks on the back side of the plate that hold it in. On my 2017 Mazda 3, the license plate mounted on the front bumper does not fit the frame on the front bumper. I had to hacksaw the lower hooks off for it to be flush, and they still don't fit properly.
