The latches must be designed specifically for a TJ; Jk latches will not fit because the TJ hood is narrower. Look at the description to see what model the latches fit; it will usually say so.
The instruction manual is included with this product; however, it may have been overlooked during packaging. Please send us a message via Amazon and we will send you the instruction manual.
It isn't key locking; it simply locks like any other stock latch. In my opinion, the word locking should be removed from the description, but they are very nice latches, which I have on my Jeep.
The design of our national flag is tailored to the view from the front of a car. In the upper left corner is the national flag's star. The American flag is a good example of this. I hope this design is clear to you.

One is mostly straight, while the other is not. It appears that the hinge pin holes were drilled at an angle rather than evenly, causing the entire latch to sit and latch crookedly. Oh well, since they've already been installed, it's not worth sending them back. They were also missing a nylock nut for the top piece, so I had to use the OEM nut instead. In retrospect, I should have used all of the OEM hardware because it is of far superior quality.
I'm in love with my new hood latches. These items appear to be of high quality. They have a very solid feel to them. They can be adjusted to prevent your hood from flapping while driving on the highway. It's fairly simple to set up. The most difficult part is removing the bottom stock mount. To remove the factory bracket, use a 1/4" drive ratchet and a 13mm socket. To install, you'll also need a 14mm socket. It'll also be simple. These come highly recommended by me!.

I was really looking forward to installing the latch on my Jeep. It took me less than 30 minutes to complete. This was incredibly simple to do, and the instructions were clear and illustrated with photos. This is something I would recommend to any Jeep owner because it is a perfect fit. I am currently in possession of a 2018 Sahara JKU.
These hood latches are fantastic! The INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS ARE THE ONLY THING I WISH WERE BETTER. The thin rubber strips that go into the top of the base don't say that's where they're supposed to go. I assumed it was for the purpose of cushioning the hood. I WAS IN FACT WRONG! SOOOOO. I can't use them right now because I cut them down to make a hood out of them. br>Apart from that. . They're stylish and long-lasting. They've gotten a lot of positive feedback.
The stars are at the bottom of one of the hinges, which I noticed is not the case on other jeeps with this style latch. Because of the installation, I decided not to return them. Because I'm partially blind, this was a challenge for me; however, I don't believe installation would be difficult for anyone with basic handyman skills.
The hood latches are a great alternative to the OEM latches. It was a bit of a pain to install, but it was well worth the effort; the hood now doesn't move at all when driving at highway speeds.
The latches themselves appear to be of excellent quality and appearance. However, pieces were missing and they were unable to be installed, which was extremely disappointing, and I was forced to return them.
