Hooke Road Front Grill Grille Insert US Flag for Jeep Wrangler JL & Jeep Gladiator 2018 2019 2020 2021 2022 (Black & White)

So far, I've gotten a lot of positive feedback on it. So, let's get this out of the way right away - If you've never worked with grille parts before, be prepared for abrasions and cuts; the stock grille parts are VERY sharp, and if you work too quickly, you'll slice your hands open. I still have four cuts between my knuckles from a few weeks ago that are nearly healed as I type this. So, now that that's out of the way, let's get down to business. It simply appears to be fantastic! It's a VERY satisfying and noticeable visual upgrade for your Gladiator, and believe me when I say that other Jeep owners will ask you about it and compliment you. It doesn't rattle or move much because it's tucked away behind the grille. I expected to have to zip tie it in a few places to keep it centered, but it stays put because it rests against these rubber bits (you'll see what I mean when you put it together). I'm not sure how long the finish or the graphic will last, but I'm not too concerned. I'll simply order another and toss it in if it gets clawed up over the winter. I'm thinking about ordering the red, white, and blue one to have on hand for July 4th, Veteran's Day, Memorial Day, 9/11, Pearl Harbor, and other special occasions; in fact, I'm going to order it right now. lol. For your Jeep Gladiator, this is a must-have accessory. It'll make you happy.

I bought it a long time ago and only installed it yesterday. It was a very simple install on my 2020 Rubicon Recon. Another reviewer claimed that it wasn't easy, but it actually was. It only came with the flag and no instructions, so I decided to start by watching a YouTube video. In total, it took me around 20 minutes. The flag slides right into place once the grill is removed and the included Recon plastic grill inserts are removed. After that, all you have to do is reconnect the grill, and it's ready to use. The paint quality appears to be satisfactory as well, but only time will tell.

What's the first step? OK. Let's start with the fact that the item was poorly packaged and had a slight bend in the corner. The bend was straightened out by me. The colors are bright and appealing. I discovered that the edges of the cowling could not be hidden after installation. I had no choice but to expose one of the edges, which really detracts from the overall appearance of the front. br>I believe my grill was cut a little too short, which I was unable to correct. As a result, I made the decision to send it back.

When dirt hits the paint, it will peel away. The paint won't last more than a month, in my opinion. br>br>In addition, the fit isn't very secure. The metal sheet is simply laid on top of the grill's bottom clippings. If you gently press them, they will sway. br>br>They appear to be nice, but the price is not justified. The quality of the paint is very poor. In a few weeks, it'll be nothing more than a black sheet of metal.

It's not as simple as throwing it in. The 6 plastic grommets on the 2020 Rubicon Grille must be removed before the grille can be removed - U TUBE is a website that allows you to watch videos on the internet. After that, I had to remove (permanently) the three plastic grille inserts from the back. Then I had to re-drill four small holes to cover the four mounting holes. Take advantage of the screws that were previously removed. If you know what you're doing, it'll be simple and quick. This grille did not scratch easily, so I believe they are PAINTING it better. HOWEVER, I sprayed CLEAR COAT 2 with a spray. Just to be on the safe side, I did it three times. I'd purchase it again if the opportunity arose - On the 2020, however, it won't be as simple. It looks fantastic!.

It is extremely difficult to set up. The front grille of your Jeep must be removed completely. A special Hex20 tool, as well as a screwdriver and philips head, are required. If you are not an auto mechanic, it may take more than an hour to figure out. There are no instructions in the package. I had to watch YouTube videos to figure out that disassembling my $60K jeep was not something I wanted to try. Thank you, but no thanks.

I ordered this for my 2021 JL, double-checked the measurements, and couldn't wait to receive it. The dimensions on the box were identical to those listed on Amazon when it arrived. I worked very hard and spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to remove my grill. I went through all of this only to discover that the flag on both sides was inches off. The number had to be at least one. It was 5" too long and too wide, and it didn't fit at all. We contacted your store directly and requested that they correct the situation, but we have yet to receive a response. I'm hesitant to place another order because I'm afraid it will happen again. If they contact me and correct the problem, I'll update this.
