This is the best-looking Bull Bar I've ever seen, with a 7-liter EcoBoost engine. I really like how the square styling complements the truck design. Much, much better than the tubular designs that are currently available. I was concerned that I was blocking air flow to the intercooler, but it appears that I am now getting more air in! The Factory License plate holder used to take up approximately 80% of the vents space previously but with the Bull Bar I relocated the plate. The lower crossbar with mesh grill on the BullBar can be placed in a variety of positions. As a result, I was able to install it in the middle two holes, which were perfectly aligned with the intercooler vent. As a result, there aren't any airflow issues! With the right wrenches and ratchets, it was a simple build. In about 3 hours, a friend and I completed the installation; it was a great evening! I'm very pleased with the outcome. The only thing that was a little off was identifying the size of the bolts that were required by the instructions, but that was not too bad; some common sense will help you identify the bolts with their descriptions. Overall, I would strongly recommend it, and I took the time to share my personal experience, which is something I rarely do.

It has a nice appearance and is reasonably strong. The biggest issue I had with it was that they give you several bags of nuts and bolts that aren't labeled in any way, so you have to figure out which bolts go with which step of the process through elimination. br>br> So the lack of a couple labels probably added 30 minutes to the install because I had to remove bolts that had already been installed because I realized they weren't the right ones at one point.

On my black F150, it really stands out. The setup wasn't too difficult, but the instructions were a little hazy. However, if you sort all of the bolts, washers, nuts, and lock washers into separate matching piles, you'll be able to figure out where each one belongs. Because the metal isn't very thick, it will be completely destroyed if you hit something. It's more for the sake of appearance than for safety. Also, do not purchase the light bar that comes with it. It's not going to work. A 20-inch side-mount light bar is required. A bottom-mounted light bar should be avoided at all costs.

I would have bought the light bar from Tac but after calling three times and leaving voicemails and not getting a return call I purchased my light somewhere else, amazon did not have the light bar option listed which later I found out there was a bull guard with a light bar option listed. The product's overall quality is acceptable, but I believe it is susceptible to scratching. Prepare to spend an hour or more cutting and preparing for installation. This was installed on a 2011 Ford F150 xl with a closed bar frame and no tow hooks. The instructions were simple to follow and included pictures to aid in the installation. For what you get, this is an excellent purchase.

Unfortunately, I was able to test the durability of this product after only having it on my truck for a little over a month. I hit a piece of tire debris (road gator) on my way home from out of town, and the bull bar kept it from crashing into the front of my truck. It bent the bull bar a little, but I think I'll be able to straighten it out, but it scratched through the surface material and down to the bare metal. My only gripe is that the metal could be a little thicker. It's a little beefier, but it looks great and stood up to the highway's natural predator.

Overall, it took me 5 hours. 2019 Ford F150 - It arrived completely disassembled, but with some instructions; I had no idea what I was doing, so it took me about 2 hours to put it back together. The most difficult part was removing the joe hooks from my truck, but with a little help, I was able to do it. Overall, it took 5 hours to complete: 2 hours to assemble, 2 hours to install on the truck, and 1 hour to level everything out and ensure that it was square with my truck. To put everything together, all I needed were the wrenches. The light is extremely bright, which I adore! On my truck, it looks fantastic. I only had enough wiring from the box to connect my bull bar to the battery and then to the cab. I would strongly suggest it.

There are a couple of caveats, though. Overall, the installation was not bad; the craftsmanship is excellent, and it looks fantastic; however, there are a few points to consider. br>br>How to remove the rubber/plastic grommets around the tow hooks is not addressed in the instructions. There are some videos on the internet that demonstrate how simple it is. I believe it is entirely dependent on how tight specific tolerances are and how your truck was built. No matter how hard I tried, they would not budge forward enough for me to remove them from the hooks. Between the metal bumper and the tube frame where the hook mounts, the grommet's plastic portion was completely pressed. I ended up chopping mine in half and yanking the grommet down with all my might. The first was a lot simpler than the second. After that, it was great until you got to the huge parts list; nothing is marked, and because the instructions are vague in making it easy, you'll basically have to tear apart (6 bags) and reassemble everything. Then compare them to the paperwork's numbers. (Hint: they don't label quantities by title on this, either. ) So once you've made a sort of key, you're good to go. It's possible to do this as a one-person job, but it may take a little longer; it took me about two hours once the nightmare grommets were removed. br>br>Overall, it appears to be a lot better than the standard tube style.

This unit was chosen because my rig has a winch installed, and most other units would not fit. Because this unit stated that it was modular, I decided to give it a shot, knowing that I'd have to make some changes. Not only did I not need to make any modifications, but I also didn't have to remove the winch to mount it! It's not as sturdy as 3" tubular steel, but it's far from flimsy. It's extremely easy to set up. It took me about 15 minutes to put this together. Mounting to the vehicle takes 15 minutes. br>It appears to be very good. It's effective. This is a product that I wholeheartedly endorse.
