There is nothing wrong with the design or feel of this bar. There is an accurate description and everything is included in the installation. The finish is okay, but it feels tough. Having installed this on my truck and having spent a good deal of time on it, all I can say is that it was a little painful. A part of it has started rusting! The truck has only been on the road for 3 weeks! All of the hooks to the frame of the car have orange rust powder on them. Using this orange rust powder to cover not only the brake and brake light, but also the brake damper and hubcap. The most likely outcome is I'll be returning it (a pain in the neck to remove after installation). There is no evidence to suggest this is a common occurrence. I am beyond disappointed that this thing would rust so quickly after being bought less than a month ago.
Aside from being aesthetically pleasing, the stainless finish looks great, and the welds on the end caps are very high quality. In addition to the plastic plugs on the end caps, the drainage holes on the end caps are capped with metal clips to keep moisture out. It appears that no rust is present within the unit or on any of the side panels. On top of the turntable, I installed two 6" KC Apollo 100 watt spot lights. Only one drawback, which I did not find excessive enough to deduct any stars, was that you cannot attach your license plate to the front. It may seem difficult for some to install their plate, but they may be able to easily do so by drilling pilot holes and then gluing a stainless steel plate to the screw heads Using a tap. Nonetheless, the extra holes and the lack of a license plate are actually really nice features because most people won't install their license plates, and the lack of a plate means more moisture and rust can get in. Overall, I'm very pleased However, in the future, I will update my review. However, as of today, I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a bull or light bar for their 11th Gen Ford F-150 The number of 150 ('04-'08) The year 2008).
I see that they have updated the design from some of the old pictures because the tubing is now closed off at the ends. For the price, this is a very good product.
I was surprised at how quickly this product arrived and how well it was priced. BB is a good quality material, well polished (I purchased the gloss black version). I was also pleased with how quickly and easily the installation went! Overall, I took a little more than 30 minutes to install it, when I did not include the time to remove the trailer hooks for my truck, which was still not a lot of time. The written instructions were a little difficult to follow, so I made a step-by-step video, which you can review. Thanks to TAC for providing this fantastic product! An amazing product at an amazing price! This has been 8 months since the last update and it still looks amazing! A few days ago, I ran over a deer at around 50 mph and this saved my front end from damage and I did not even damage the bull bar. I just had to loosen it and straighten it back up where it had been pushed back. I am very impressed with this product!.
I did not have any problems installing this bull bar. Having removed my tow hooks, I was able to use the same bolts used in my tow hooks to install the new bolts. I then attached the bar to the brackets and bolted them up. easily with its adjustable angle, so that it can be angled up or down It fits perfectly on the inside with a 20" light bar. It was just drilling the holes for the light bar mount that was difficult.
I am very impressed with it. To complement the strength of the 3" tubing, I think a more sturdy Square tubing connection from which the 3" tubing could be accessible would be more preferable than a direct metal-to-metal connection. Nevertheless, I jumped onto it standing on it as I weighed 210 pounds. I was just thinking about structural integrity and was wondering if it seemed sturdy. In total, I spent around 15 minutes installing it on a 2018 FX4 F150 after removing tow hook covers and tow hooks for 45 minutes.
This is amazing. This is a very nice and sturdy product, and it comes with everything it needs. Installing it was a pain, but it is worth it (since I had multiple problems), since I have it on my phone all the time. Pictures of the before and after are below. Having no opening, I had to cut it out a bit to fit, but that was because I didn't already have one. Make sure you check first!.
