I, like many others here, needed the key to use the Boxlink cleats (hooks) in the bed of my new truck, which did not come with them and which the dealer couldn't find/give/get. br>br>As a result, I turned to the Internet for information on what I needed to do. Part of that investigation involved determining the specific code on the cleat in order to determine which number key to order. S06 was the code I received. I looked on other websites before deciding on this seller because of his positive reviews and results. I was hesitant to order S06 because only one other person had previously ordered it and it had failed to work. As we all know, everyone's mileage will vary, to put it mildly. I decided to order S06 because it was less expensive to try these than to buy a new kit. The two keys arrived in a small package, nicely wrapped, yesterday. I used WD40 to lubricate the locks (specific lube was not mentioned in the instructions), inserted the key 10 times, and hoped it would turn. It did! It is ESSENTIAL that you follow these instructions. Although my truck is newer, the cleat locks were stiff until they were lubed, and they are now much easier to operate. br>I'm pleased with my purchase, and the keys appear to be exactly as pictured and "OEM" in appearance rather than aftermarket. br>With these keys, Seller is right on par. If you a) make certain you order the correct S0 and b) follow the instructions, you will not be disappointed. The only drawback was that there was no option for Prime or faster shipping, but that doesn't detract from the overall rating of 5 stars. Just a heads up for future buyers: it will take 7-10 days to arrive. 10 working days are required.
It's a bit pricey for two keys, but when you don't have any other options, you have no choice but to pay. Make sure the locks are well lubricated and wait for them to function. To get the keys to work, I had to carefully use pliers to apply enough force to the keys. They work normally once they get started.
I used Google to find them and ended up at Amazon with their keys. I was ecstatic when I was able to remove the cleat after matching the on the lock cylinder. In the event that one of your keys is misplaced, having multiple keys is a plus. This problem has been satisfactorily resolved.
For the bed hooks, I bought a truck that had locks in the bed. The keys to the truck were not included. The keys fit and function perfectly after I removed the numbers from the locks and ordered them here.
These aren't very well cut. With a little fiddling, they got it to work. If fully inserted, the answer is no. The first key snapped right away, and the second easily bends. I'll use it as a model for getting a higher-quality key cut locally. It's worth mentioning that the Boxlink key barrels are perfectly functional - There was very little force applied to the key.
Everything went smoothly. A little on the pricey side. br>br>Check the numbers on your locks and make sure you have the right key.
It performs as expected. This is a no-frills replacement. It's as simple as knowing the correct number.
Thank you very much!.
