When installing nutserts, seal them with a rubberized type of glue or clear caulking if you want to avoid any issues. In addition to painting the exposed metal after drilling the holes, I also used a sealant to protect it.
There is about a 5 inch clearance above
There is no issue with bolt sizes but I am not sure what they are. My love for this beast is tempered by the fact that all of the bolt heads are already rusted.
You should not have any problems with the Grill. cowl, on the other hand, may interfere with it just a little bit

The decision has to be made between three and four It gets a 4 out of 5. Despite being a great product, it has the following problems THINGS TO WORRY ABOUT The following *br The threadserts are a real pain to install, and the Smittybilt tool (sole separately) will break at the second or third threadsert. In essence, you ruin every piece of sheetmetal on your Jeep by drilling huge holes to install the unit. As soon as it is on, it is on forever. The following *br It will take four to five hours to install Despite the fact that it only took half an hour with a tool that wasn't broken and instructions that weren't completely useless, the whole process took two full days, multiple trips to get new tools, and the As you read the instructions, you are repeatedly told to "use appropriate hardware", but never a single mention is made of what hardware should be used for what portion of the installation. It takes this thing a long time to get used to. The following *br All points of contact are simply threaded into ultra thin sheet metal and that is all there is to it as an exoskeleton. There is no way this thing can stand up if it were to With that said, let me tell you
THE The following *br It costs $995 delivered and you won't be able to build one for less than half of that, when you figure in time, etc. The following *br It looks great and is sturdy enough to climb on. When it comes to protection, it is better than nothing, but I do not know if I would completely rely on it in a heavy roll. The following *br Although knowing what I know now, I would still buy the game despite knowing that I would have to change some things.
It was 51% off when I got it, so it was definitely worth the price. Installation is time consuming, and I did it myself but it would be easier if you had a second person there with you. The nutsert installation tool I bought instead of using the one they sent me is much better. It is definitely recommended that you get this tool for the Though the hardware was upgraded, there were still old style nutserts and bolts in the packaging, and I was missing 2 of the new ones. It held up well with the new hardware, but the two old style bolt heads are starting to rust. Make sure you mock this up before you begin drilling. It works with the setup I'm running, so it should also work with a frameless top. You can remove the hard top but not your soft top since this includes gussets in the front. It seemed that the windshield brace was an inch and a half off square, but the assembly went smoothly. My overall impression of the purchase is positive.
If you have experience with nuts and bolts, you should be able to follow the directions. There is everything you need in the kit, minus the tools. If you are patient and careful, you can install it with everything in the kit. It was difficult to insert the insert because I made a mistake in one of the holes. I did it, but it was my fault. The Jeep looks really great with it! As well as being solid, it is also very durable. It is only because the hard top will have to be removed tediously and you have to use a frameless soft top when removing it that I have not given it five stars.
I figured out how to do it, even though the instructions are bad. Although they have obviously made changes, the directions have not been updated. The most disappointing part is that after only one night on my car (literally the day after it arrived) I noticed rust starting to form on a few bolt heads. Now about a month later all the bolt heads on my Jeep It would have been better if I had known this before I purchased it.
It was just what I wanted. Wearing these boots is not as easy as it looks, but they are definitely To accomplish this, you will need patience, the right tools, and time.
I found the item to be reasonably priced, and seller went above and beyond to help me when I needed it.
It was a tough installation on my own. I don't know, it looks good.
There is nothing wrong with it except it doesn't match the center rocker cradle they make, although it looks good and works well.
