A big advantage of this product is that it can run with the top off, allowing for a neat finish on the tub rails. This is true up until the two-sided tape fails and the tape blows off at highway speeds. This is a replacement I bought because it finishes off the tub rail nicely, but I'm not confident in Black allen head sheet metal screws will be used for installation of the replacements. I learned $60 from this mistake. Having given five stars to your product, I have given three stars to yours. The trim piece for the Wrangler Unlimited is the first item I purchased, so I cut it to fit my standard length Wrangler following directions in other reviews. I was able to install very cleanly as a result. In order to get a rough idea of the length, I placed the trim piece over the tub rail and marked it with a Sharpie and straight edge approximately an eighth of an inch longer than it seemed to be. In order to clip the excess of the trim, I scored the trim deeply with a triangle-shaped file. I curved the trim at the score to create a snapping motion. After checking the fit and filing the excess off with the file, I got the perfect length and finish. By forming a slight taper in the excess, I got it exactly where I wanted it. My first step was to clean and wipe the tub rail with mineral spirits, then I installed the trim with the provided tape and weighed it down overnight (probably excessive). My overall satisfaction with the result is high. The installation period took me about 30 minutes The time I spent was 40 minutes, and I was being.
We're happy with the product and would buy it The installation process is very simple. Enhances the look and feel of the topless Jeep and gives it a really sharp look. It just took me about 10 minutes to cut down the length with a small hacksaw after I bought the LJ or JK version that is longer for my TJ. Using plastic is easy. You can drill and cut it. The top is held in place with hard top bolts, I didn't trust the 3M tape, based on other experiences with flying tape.
I had problems ordering a part from Baseline 4x4 and it did not work. It is manufactured by Rugged Ridge. This rail is 40 feet long. I returned part because it was too short and I was conned out of other parts. There is another story to tell about that. This Tub Rail was sold by Amazon, so I ordered it through As it fits under the door jam on the edge of the tub, I like it a lot. Cut the longer version down to size. The process is very simple. As soon as I put back the hard top, I screwed my self-tapping screws in place to make it easier to remove the hard top. I like how well it cleans up my Tub Rail. I'm glad I used the correct part because the results are good.
CSE Off Road is the place where I ordered the Bed Rail Protector. We were pleased with the speed of delivery, and the product lived up to our expectations. Having the rail protectors installed on the Jeep adds a tremendous amount of eye appeal to the vehicle with the top While I encountered a minor problem with the product, CSE Off Road and Rugged Ridge were quick to resolve the issue. The product I've reviewed turns out to be a good product, it does what it says, and it gives my Jeep a beautiful finishing touch. Anyone who owns a jeep would do well to contact these guys. Bill of lading.
The fit is okay, but it does give the final look.
Despite the fact that they fit pretty well, the manufacturer needs to provide them with more double sided tape. I purchased them for my 1997 Jeep Wrangler and cut them down to size. There is a gap between the tape and the straps, which creates an issue with fit. There are a couple of fingers of space between them and the rail as they are now. You can fix this by applying your own tape, but should you have to do so when a new product is introduced?.
The product did not fit, so it had to be returned.
