When you're taking off your doors, it keeps you from putting dents in the Jeep. When you see Jeeps driving around, you'll notice circle dents where the mirror collided with the vehicle.

They did well on the test, and I would recommend them to others. On my Rubicon, it looks fantastic. These have a lot of potential, and I'm impressed. I used Windex to thoroughly clean the cowl and allowed it to dry. I then sewed them onto the cowl using the supplied 2-inch needle and thread. They're already covered in double-sided tape. I didn't have high hopes, and I wasn't sure if they'd stick around. However, I used double-sided tape to apply pressure to the entire area for about a minute or two on each side, and they look fantastic. I let them sit for a couple of hours without driving before deciding to put them to the test. a car wash with a drive-thru. I had my doubts about their ability to survive. They did, however, pass with flying colors. I've had these on for a few weeks and they're still there. driving at 70 mph You can't go wrong with 75 mph, a car wash, and rain storms for the price. Because I have a 2015 JKU Rubicon, the surface area was already in good shape, but I'm not sure if that made a difference. But I'm happy with them, and if you're looking for something similar, these are a good option.
First and foremost, it's made of powder-coated plastic. There's a 1/4-inch wide strip of double-sided tape. a ring of double-sided tape around the outside edge It should be fine assuming nothing hits it, but it will NEVER protect your Jeep. So if you're one of those guys who has a beefed-up Jeep with street tires and never ventures beyond the suburbs, this will be perfect for you. For the rest of us, it's a waste of time. br>br>Oh, and when I got them, both of them were broken.
Unfortunately, this is my current Jeep's second set of tires. I had to order more after one of the other pairs flew away recently. I used ACTUAL 3M tape this time. So, when you get these, do yourself a favor and remove the tape and replace it with genuine 3M tape! The quality of the fit and finish is excellent. This is a low-cost modification that enhances the appearance of Jeeps.
The first hides a small dent, while the second hides a strange paint mishap. Overall, it only adds to the Jeep's badass look. They've made it through the heat, the wash, the trails, the rain, and the hail!.
Just keep in mind: The product title implies that these are powder coated, but they are not. I was aware of this prior to the event, but I wanted to emphasize it. Getting plastic armor for the cowls made me a little nervous at first. However, I'm thinking about getting similar armor for other parts of my Jeep because it's easy to remove, nice and thick, and doesn't require riveting anything in place and ruining your body panels like metal armor does. br>br>However, they look and fit fantastically for being made of plastic. The 3M tape keeps everything in place, but if you want a more rugged look, drill in and use pop rivets.
I had them on for about a week while driving at 75 mph on the highway, then we had a big rain/wind storm and one blew off, never to be seen again. You'll be fine if you have some extra tape.
It didn't stay on for some people. I ordered some more 3M exterior mounting tape from Amazon to ensure that it adheres to the surface and stays put. Overall, I'm very pleased with this product, and it's a great alternative to drilling stainless steel cowl armor into your cowl.
Installing it was a breeze. It is inexpensive and simple to put on. On the Jeep, you look rad. One of them has been there (so far) for more than two years. One of them took off on a trip across the country. Thankfully, they're not too expensive to replace.
