No, I've had mine for a long time and they're fantastic. I went over the area with a fine tooth comb before sticking them on and pressing them down for about 5 seconds. Before you begin, double-check that all 3M tape is in place.
Because they're attached with 3M adhesive strips, heat them up and slowly peel them off.

The adhesive strips are useless, so I'm only giving it three stars. They can't possibly stick to the Jeep because they're receded into the cover. I was aware of this from other reviews, so I purchased some 3M double-sided adhesive tape and used it to attach them. I left the existing tape in place and simply wrapped the 3M around it; it worked perfectly. br>br>I give this cover five stars because it fits my Jeep perfectly. Do note: There are two sides, one for the driver and one for the passenger, and if you try to attach it to the wrong side, it will not line up correctly. Maybe that's what happened when they said it wouldn't fit their Jeep.
The quality is excellent, and the design is well-thought-out. The all-white hood had to be broken up. It's a big hit with the wife. Be very careful when dropping in place because the adhesive is extremely strong. It's a good idea to dry fit it before removing the adhesive tapebr>br>It's also a great price, and I'd buy it again.
It is very simple to set up. I read that the adhesion was poor, but I cleaned it with alcohol before installing it, and the tape that came with it is extremely strong. There was no need for me to get any more tape.
I purchased two sets, one for my daughter's Jeep and the other for my granddaughters. When I installed the drivers side first, the passenger side was identical to the drivers side and did not fit (two drivers side pieces in package), so I opened the second box, which also had two drivers side pieces. I was only able to return one package because one piece was already on the jeep. These were reasonably priced, and you get what you pay for.
or wear to protect yourself from harm I've been driving a jeep for over a year, and they're still looking good.
You'll need to replace the tape with some REAL 3M tape because it's junk. If you have a light bar on top and side windshield mounts, you'll need to cut these to fit properly.
The covers appear to be quite sturdy. The edges were a little rough and needed to be smoothed out with sand paper, but nothing major. The adhesive tape is designed to resemble 3M brand adhesive tape, but it isn't even close. I had some genuine 3M tape on hand and simply replaced the tape that came with the covers. It's too early to tell whether these wills will fade over time, but they appear to be durable.
The Rugged Ridge, which is more expensive, is identical. According to what I've heard, RR simply outsources all work to China, so the factory either sold the design themselves or to another distributor for a lower price. I put these on after a door flung open while being removed dented the steel. Of course, now that I'm fully aware of what happened, I'll never do it again, but these still look cool.
