Now it clears it without a hitch. It's perfect; where has this thing been my entire life? And the radio reception is actually better with this antenna than with the taller one. I'm blown away, and it was well worth the money. It also included a variety of mounting adapters. In less than two minutes, I had it mounted on my truck and looking great! Thanks to Amazon for providing such a great product. Kudos to the manufacturer.
It's a fantastic product and it's very nice.
This antenna has exceeded my expectations. I bought this as a replacement for an old truck that had a long, flimsy antenna. It performs admirably, and I receive a strong signal even while driving through the car wash. Throughout the wash, the manufacturer's one was always distorted or had no signal.
The diameter of the bottom portion of this antenna where it screws into the factory base is too small, exposing the factory base, so it had to be returned for a refund.
It does not fit the antenna mount on the 2014 Mustang. There is a small gap that it does not fill.
It was extremely simple to set up, and I was able to tune in to the majority of the AM-FM stations. In my area, there are FM stations.
The item appears to be of good quality, but it will not fit a 2006 Silverado as described on Amazon.
I had hoped for good reception, but I don't even bother with FM because it's so in and out!.
