How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

By entering your model number, you can make sure that this fits.
Weathering, salt spray, chipping, and dust are all resistant to the flexible rubberized coating.
For increased customer satisfaction, the product is fully paintable and texturized to match OEM paint finishes.
Limits rust recurrence by forming an electromechanical barrier.
Applying a layer of rubber to the areas that are most susceptible to weather and wear is a good example.

Questions & Answers

Is it possible to paint the frame where the tailpipe runs through it from front to back?

Yes. It should be fine; once dry, it isn't flammable.

Is this a four-pack of 120-ounce cans or a four-pack of 120-ounce cans?

It's one 120-ounce can.

Is this going to help if I paint it over existing rust, or do I have to scrape everything off before applying this product?

This should only be used on metal that has been treated. This isn't a rust-removal solution. Remove the rust and paint it, or use a rust sealer and then dynatron on top of it if the rust is only on the surface. Even if you just apply dynatron to the rust, it will spread.

Is scuffing necessary for this to work on a painted surface?

Yes, there's a lot of dingy paint and primer. Paint with a clear coat and a waxed finish NO. Yes, under the car or truck's paint. Make use of the undercoating gun to apply the undercoat. It works fine, but it's a pain to keep clean.

This is fantastic! Commerical quality! This is exactly what I'm looking for
5/5

It's a 3m commercial-grade spray of excellent quality. It's simple to apply and clean up. It creates a smooth, even coat that is both durable and paintable. I've never painted it because I like the natural look.
Re- Frames are revitalized and preserved. In the winter, it protects you from moisture and salt. Prior to applying this undercoating to the frame portions, I used Metal prep and Metal Ready by POR15. I used a brush to scrub areas that had become sludged with grease. The level of adhesion was and continues to be excellent. br>Back in March 2008, I sprayed my 2008 Dodge Ram. In October of 2014, I finally sold it. Even after 5 years and the harsh winters of upstate NY, the underside looked brand new! While I did have to touch up a few areas after 3-days, I think it was worth it. 4yrs. Because I didn't scuff the new paint in the wheel wells, it was my fault. If you're painting a new vehicle, scuff the paint or use an acid etch primer to make it easier for the undercoating to adhere. br>Before and after with only one coat of paint on my 2001 suburban frame! br>br>I applied the undercoat with a standard undercoat gun.

Finish that is professional and long-lasting
5/5

This undercoat is by far the best, leaving a semi-glossy finish. It has a high gloss, lightly textured finish that gives everything you spray a nice, consistent look. I use a 25-year-old undercoat gun. It atomizes it perfectly at 30 psi. br>br>The first step in my successful process is to degrease the frame and underbody with a citrus degreaser applied with a garden sprayer. After that, I give it a good pressure wash and let it air dry for a couple of days. Then I go over the rust scale and bubbling with a needle scaler. After blowing off the entire frame, I apply two coats of corroseal (an excellent rust converter and inhibitor). ) I let it dry overnight, then applied a light dusting of the undercoat for the first coat, then two more coats while it was still tacky the next day. This has given me a fantastic finish that has lasted for years (5 and counting) even in New England, as long as the underbody is washed every now and then.

Undercoating of high quality
5/5

This product worked well on my inner thighs. It hardens but does not become brittle after drying. Before applying to the car, I tested it on scrap metal, and once dry, scratching it is difficult. If you apply enough force, you can puncture it with a sharp object. It doesn't crack even at or near freezing temperatures. I drive on gravel roads, and there are no chips or cracks in this. I've tried a lot of different undercoatings, but this is my new favorite; you do get what you pay for sometimes. This is a pricey item, but it is well worth the money.

I used an undercoat gun to apply it, and it worked just as well as the more well-known and more expensive brand
5/5

If you're applying it over an existing undercoat, make sure to scrape off any loose areas and any built-up dirt, as well as any areas where the old undercoat is oil-soaked, as the new coat won't harden properly. Finally, if you're going to spray this product, make sure to cover any surfaces you don't want undercoat on, such as the shop floor and walls.

Excellent product for protecting fiberglass fenders by undercoating them
5/5

Excellent product for protecting the underside of fiberglass fenders from rocks thrown from tires, which can cause star cracks in the fenders' exposed outer painted surfaces. Rubberized sheets glued to the underside of the fenders were also applied on top.

Great
5/5

This product is fantastic; I just wish the gun I purchased to use it with wasn't such a dud. It dries quickly with little overspray, doesn't drip, and has a thick consistency.

Undercoating of high quality - When used with the proper spray gun, it looks and feels like factory spray
5/5

It's a great undercoat for chipping, salt, and corrosion, and it's also paintable.
