Questions & Answers

Can you tell me what the GSM is ?

380 GSM is the GSM of these towels. This is a two sided plush towel one side has a lower pile (thickness) and the other is plusher.

What is the best use for these ?

In addition to being used inside or outside, these towels are also machine washable.

Is it ok to put these in the dryer after they have been machine washed?

The 4 towels I own from CG (there are 3 Purple Happy Endings and one Super Fatty Dryer) come out looking brand new over and over again when I wash them with Chemical Guys Microfiber Wash. The stuff works with both front load (HE Washers) and regular top loaders.

Can you tell me where these towels are from? What should we do in the USA, China, Mexico, or other countries?

Selected User Reviews For Chemical Guys MIC_506_12 Professional Grade Premium Microfiber Towels, Gold (16 Inch x 16 Inch) (Pack of 12)

The towels used to be thick and excellent, and I used to enjoy them very much
3/5

They used to be my favorite towels because they were so thick and had a great ability to pick I used to use these towels when I needed them. As soon as I received my order, I noticed the new ones are thinner and not as plush as the old ones. In order to compare two-year-old towels to new towels, I stacked two-year-old towels next to new towels. I bought new towels two years ago, and they have a less dense pile, not as plush, and are about 1/4 shorter than the ones I bought then. In this pile, the gap between the piles is larger and it sheds more than usual. There were a lot of old ones that I wish I had bought more of.

The situation is not good
3/5

As disappointing as these turned out, I wasn't expecting them to work out the way they did. They left tiny pieces of lint all over the outside of my car after I washed them as directed! I also used them for the first time and they left tiny pieces of lint on the inside. Angry was all I could think about. After washing them again, I switched to another MF towel and had no issues. Yet still, here we are. I have a large amount of lint all over the outside of the car. Had I used them sooner, and been able to return them, I would have given them five stars. The situation is not good.

I wouldn't wear them again if they were discolored after the first wash
5/5

You are warned! Please care for these when you wash them! My purchase includes these Chemical Guys Microfiber towels and some from a company called The Rag Company (these came in black, blue, and gray. In both of my attempts to wash Chemical Guys towels, I used HOT water according to the packaging as well as Tide Ultra laundry detergent and Oxi Clean Powder detergent (no additional fabric softeners) and they came out very discolored as shown in the pictures. It initially appeared as though The Rag Company towels withered with each wash, but they all came out fresh and looking like new without any signs of color bleeding or fading, and they did not fade at all. You can see the comparison with the pictures. Afterward, I assumed maybe the temperature was too hot, but I remembered that the Chemical Guys packaging indicated a HOT wash. After I found out later that powder soap is not recommended I noticed that it is not mentioned anywhere on the Chemical Guys care instructions. Ultimately, I believe that the Oxy Clean Powder was the source of the damages. In another customer review, this same CG microfiber towel had discolored after the first wash, although he had called customer service to ask what specific CG microfiber detergent he had used. I decided to re wash the discolored towels at least again, this time adding another NEW, undamaged Chemical Guys microfiber towel to the wash in an effort to figure out what was causing the discoloration. To rewash them, I washed them on the setting called (Eco warm, just under the HOT setting for safety reasons) I used Tide Ultra detergent only, no Oxy Clean Powder, and I left the The Rag Company towels out and did it all over Additionally, there should be no fabric softener. My discolored towels didn't improve by washing them, but the new towel I put in there came out looking and feeling brand The item was in perfect condition, with no signs of damage or Unfortunately, I am not sure what did cause the discoloration since I changed the temperature, didn't use the oxy powder and washed without it. I am almost certain, however, that it was the Therefore, I suggest you wash these towels by themselves and not with anything else like clothes or even another microfiber towel, especially if they are a Neither use powdered soap nor liquid It seemed those Tide detergents worked fine, but I will instead buy the specific microfiber soap since they do not cost much to replace. To give you an idea of color, I attached a picture of the discolored Chemical Guys towels compared to a new pack. Furthermore, I have included pictures of the detergents I used along with the CG towels that were damaged, as well as the Rag Cos towels I washed with them. This was clearly an error on the part of the user, which is why I gave 5 stars. Neither the towels nor Chemical Guys are at fault. However, their instructions should specify no powder detergent whenever possible in the event that powder will damage the towels. In a side note, new vs. new, the Chemical Guys microfiber towels plush side is comparable to The Rag Cos towels, even though the Rag Cos towels are more expensive. I may return the rag company towels and get different color Chemical Guys towels in their place. I found the low pile side of the Chemical Guys towels to be SO much softer than the low pile side of the Rag Co towels. Anyway, thank you for reading this, apologies for the length, but I hope it helped you. A BIG UPDATE! After reading some reviews of Rag Cos towels, I discovered that they have a problem with bleeding color even after several washes. suppose it is very probable the towels of the rag company are responsible for the damage after all! THOSE WERE RETURNED, SO I PURCHASED CHEMISTRY GUYS TOWELS!.

This is the furthest thing from being lint-free
3/5

Do you have no lint? Even knowing what that means even occurs to you guys? A microfiber lint-free cloth is available in these In using their "free" towels on their HydroCharge ceramic product, a vast amount of yellow lint was deposited on my truck. Now I have to spend the rest of my life cleaning it off. IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR VEHICLE IN GOOD SHAPE, YOU SHOULD NOT BUY THESE TOWELS. I think it's terrible. I plan to use them in the bathroom since that's.

The best way to wash and maintain your furniture
5/5

Definitely the best I have ever used. They are even better than the thicker microfiber cloths for cars I get from Costco that come 36 to a package. After washing them always, I ended up with two packs of those and they lasted me about 3 months (for someone who washes his car maybe 3 times a week). In this instance, it's about using the towels appropriately, and changing them every time one gets too dirty so as not to Despite the fact that most people out there are being conservative and using just TWO and even JUST ONE of these towels to dry their entire car, good luck polishing those swirls later on cheapskate. In any case. In this post, I will tell you the secret to washing your towels that I haven't seen anyone review in a detailed enough manner on how to thoroughly wash and maintain these products. The following is the order in which to wash * BRUSHES Rinse them by themselves, never in a separate wash basket with other cloths. There may be people out there who say it's acceptable to get rid of these with laundry detergent, but the use of laundry detergent DOES decrease For these, you must only use a microfiber wash that is specifically designed for them. To wash my microfibers, I use the orange liquid from Chemical Guys. After using on your dirty, grimy, oily car, pour about 6 capfuls in a medium load, and WASH THEM IN HOT WATER afterward. When you use hot water, you will be able to release any dirt or grime that has been entrapped when the microfiber is removed from your car. Cold water will not be able to You don't need to worry either. These items will not be damaged by hot water, however the dryer is another matter. I DO NOT recommend drying these items with heat. As long as you do not use any heat on your drier, your AIR FLUFF will dry on its own in less than 20 minutes and, upon removal, you'll find they feel just as new as they did when they first came Your clothes should dry within about 15 minutes if your dryer doesn't have an "air fluff" feature. If your dryer does not have an air fluff feature, use the lowest setting and let them run for that long. It's best not to let them sit in a heated dryer for too long, even on a low setting, as they will become thinner and a lot less absorbent. My Costco Micros have taught me this lesson the hard way. Thanks a lot for reading this and I hope you find it helpful.
