In order for this to be plug and play, what else do you need to buy?

There is everything you need in it. Make sure not to commit the same error as me. All the filters were ordered for it, but I didn't need them.

Could you please let me know the size of the inlet and outlet?

There is a difference of 1/2 inch between them.

There was a problem with the product because it did not come with essential parts

No one at Tooldom was able to help with finding these I've spoken with Carlisle, the parent company, who has been helpful but it has taken many months and I'm still short one part.

I definitely do not recommend this company. There is no one to turn to if there is a problem. Make sure you are buying from a trustworthy source!.
