Questions & Answers

Is there a residue left behind by this product?

If it is applied to rubber, it will not leave a residue if applied to paint, it will. You won't have to wipe the paint away with a towel after you apply it to the rubber seals. Just be careful when applying it to the seals. It's a great product, I highly recommend it!

I would like to hear if an early adopter has confirmed that Gummi Pflege is in fact still working after a couple of years?

I have been using this product for many years without having noticed a significant decline in quality. Our 2006 BMW 325xi had been in our family for eight years, so when we traded it in the door, trunk, and hood seals were like new.

What is the best way to prevent water from dripping onto a hard top convertible from the top of the window?

Any window seal or gasket that has a leak from its gasket or seal will not be repaired by this procedure. Prevention is the best policy with this product as it will help to restore seals that have not broken, but it will not plug holes or fix crimped seals. This individual touring Armor-plate consists of It is unknown what he is talking about to all. This is a nasty product, and it does nothing more than make seals and plastic shiny. It also dries out these components and keeps them from lasting long. I learned this in a painting course, and NO professional detailer uses it. Because the "shine" lasts longer than any other component in it, the ignorant believe that it must work. *br>The fact that he painted his window seals as a solution indicates that he is unknowledgeable and does not know what he is doing. In the used car business, that would be the sort of temporary fix that is employed by smarmy salespeople. As most people neglect to clean their wipers, cleaning them should extend their life. *br>WD thanks you for that A heavier coating, such as 40, is probably even better, as it does not dry out the blades. It would be far better to use washing fluid or hot soapy water Gummi (or a similar quality product) will not only increase the longevity of his seals, but will also help prevent their failure sooner. It is for this reason that you can find Armor All at any Dollar Store. There is nothing special about it, but it looks nice.

Do you know of any rubber that should be avoided when using this product? Occasionally, my Lexus is 350 convertible, which is a convertible, makes some squeaks from the hardtop seal. Thanks a lot! ?

On my hard top convertible BMW, I used this on the roof seals and the windows. I am pleased with the result, it helps revive and condition the seal.

Compared to the product I purchased three years ago, this one is different
3/5

It is no longer something I would recommend. It is likely that there are better products out there. The current situation is different from the previous one. It was maybe three years ago when I bought the bottle. In contrast to the old Gummi Pflege, the new one does not coat. This is a very disappointing experience. My options are limited, so I'll need to look elsewhere. My recommendation would not be to buy this product. The product seems to have been diluted and no longer leaves a protective coating as it did in the early years of Gummi Pflege, and I do not recommend it.

SQUEEZE THE BOTTLE, but not too much! On the side of the bottle are bad instructions
3/5

A squeeze of the bottle is said to be necessary to make the liquid Trying to do this resulted in the top popping off, causing a major mess. There is an applicator for FLOW in the bottles As long as the bottle is upside down, you need to push down on the cap to use the product.

I hope the product I received is genuine because the instructions do not match the physical bottle. I have also noticed that my seals leak water now when I take the car through the car wash when using the product. Before applying the product, the door didn't leak at all. This happened on both the driver's and passenger's doors at the same point where the rear view mirrors go. It would've been better if I had known better than to try to fix something that wasn't even '( The rating has been changed to one.

Everything seems to be working fine
5/5

I found this product to be very easy to use. You want to make sure you get the rubber clean first. That is going to take a little elbow grease in some cases, but you want to restore the rubber to its former glory. Some soaking of rags with cleaning solution will get the crusty stuff off. If it's very heavy, you'll need a degreaser and a light abrasive, such as fine steel wool. Following that, I use a microfiber cloth to remove all oxidation and dirt from the surface before applying the product.

I saw someone comment about not being able to get into some places with the applicator included. It's as simple as taking a swab out of your ear or cutting a piece of foam from, say, the foam of a window air conditioner unit. It should be held up against the foam applicator on the bottle so that material will flow into In order to tell if rubber is in good shape, you'll see that it's slightly shinier looking and is not needing too much It is better to apply two applications if you have an older seal, like what I had in one situation. The first application dried up pretty quickly. you should review it a second time to see if it has taken in any new information If there's too much oil, you can simply wipe it off with a rag. The conditioner all in all seems to be a good product, though I found that on two doors I use often, it was slightly harder to shut them now that the seals had swelled up due to absorbing the Moreover, the product does not have a bad smell.

I'll update my review by saying that I continue to enjoy this product. It really soaks into the seal, and it has a pleasant effect on it. At this point, I have tried it on a few different kinds of applications. Went under the water to do some very dry stuff I replaced the hood weather seals and was amazed at the difference, while the seals themselves are very flexible. The application process took a long time. It can sometimes seem as if night and day has passed.

I use this for window/door seals, and it works great
5/5

As the outer window seals on my BMW sedan started to be stained by splotches and discoloration, I decided to replace them. My car is very well cared for and I only use the best carwash and polish, but no protectant could restore its luster. I highly recommend you try this stuff if you do what follows 1.
1. This is not what you need to do. It is recommended that you wipe on the product and let it dry, then reapply as often as needed. As far as looks go, it wasn't my cup of tea. You should instead apply a good coat first, and then as it is drying, you should apply a second layer. Apply the second coat while wet, then use a smooth lint-free or microfiber cloth to make sure it really gets This will cause a lot of black stuff to accumulate It should take 2-3 coats to get a uniform coating, and the seal should look even. Once dry, let it sit for a few moments. 3.
It's essential to press the applicator firmly against a rag while squeezing the bottle to make sure that the tip is really I have noticed that this works best once the tip of the pen has become In order to get the whole window seal saturated, it takes many passes if you do this while it is not on the window seal. 4
Try to use a clean part of the cloth every time you work in the liquid.

The magic of unicorns are contained within this magic Gummi Stift! The I love this stuff! Maybe it doesn't have unicorn extracts, but the stuff certainly is impressive! It is vital that you thoroughly clean the door seals
5/5

Make sure the seals are really clean, whether you need to use an all-purpose cleaner or a tooth brush By doing this, the product will have a longer lifespan, and be more effective. There's a citronella smell to it, These mosquito candles that you can buy during the summer are great for warding off biting insects. Solid (dense) rubber looks a little lame when it first gets wet, but when it dries and you keep buffing it into the rubber, it goes on even and In porous rubber, such as most door seals from the 90s and 2000s, it starts to soak in right away (if dry) and gives a dull, matte sheen initially. As you massage it in, the more noticeable the effects are, and the glossier the result. But keep your mind clear and you won't go crazy. As a precaution, I went over and applied one more coat of glue to the obviously worn spots on the seals after they had dried. Within a few days, the seals are as good as Though the rubber did not swell in my hands, the texture is softer and I can feel that they will hold up well simply by touching them. Plush and pliable, flexible and durable, they seem more luxurious. In my work as a detailer, I normally spend a lot of time cleaning door jambs properly. You're not going to find a magic spray Here, the strategy is to run and hide. On older vehicles, the rubber in the jambs has often begun to deteriorate, and eventually the paint will become bonded to the rubber. As long as you use it early enough in the life of the vehicle and keep it maintained, it should help reduce or eliminate that problem. In the range of $8-$10 As a result, I'll be buying more than one of these for storage.

Put simply, I'll be buying another couple to have on hand as it's a great finishing touch to a detail. I don't like this product because of its applicator, for I think it's a little rough and doesn't apply evenly. This is lustrous. This foam is not very dense, a little soft and it doesn't hold very much product. I noticed that the foam immediately discolored (turned black) and that it did not adhere to the seal well! When it comes to shoes, you have to be creative Because that's exactly how this bottle looks. It boasts a pressure-release top. The bottle has a valve at the end that releases the product when it is pushed, but you have to turn the bottle upside down to activate it. I think you could make a makeshift brush to apply to the seals inside a door jamb if you had a small foam applicator or if you purchased those dense foam brushes from a hardware store It is not allowed on some vehicles with this bottle. So I went to town without worrying about getting any in my hands There WILL come a point when the foam will fail, and you'll need to switch to another method of application. * I wish I had known about this product sooner. * This product rocks, and I wish I had known about it earlier. has become an integral part of nearly every detail job that.
