Tires are cleaned with this cleaner, which is straight and strong. I think it will work out I would always do a test section if I wasn't sure if the product would work, but I firmly believe that it would. Before you attach anything to the tires, make sure they are completely dry.
A sponge is not included in the package
a microfiber cloth to prep the rubber, which is what I use for all of the griot's products, unless I'm polishing. However, you should be able to use any rag with it depending on what site you're using it on. In addition, you don't need to use a lot of this (again depending on the surface you're using). You need to apply more if necessary after using a damp microfiber. In the past, I have used this method on tires, wipers, trim, and bumpers.
There are two types of siloxanes present in the coating, both of which have a health rating of 2 As far as I can tell, it is no different from most other cleaners available to the general public, and probably isn't any better or worse.

My original intention was to use this to clean my tires, but it doesn't seem to be working. Using the proper tire cleaner and rinsing solution, I scrubbed my tires thoroughly, then sponged this Rubber Prep onto them. There may not have been much of a difference When it comes to new tires, it should remove the factory crud from I don't expect to use this much, so I don't expect to use.
Before I put the tire shine or long lasting tire dressing on my tires, I use the rubber prep. I think it does a great job. My method of cleaning the tire is to first use a rubber cleaner, and then wipe it with a microfiber towel to remove the cleaner. After that, I wipe the rubber prep off, apply my tire dressing, and allow it to dry. Since the rubber is cleaner, it really lengthens the life of your dressing. I'm now going to keep it in my detailing arsenal as a regular item.
In fact, the product didn't do what it was advertised to do. Rubber trim on my car had light oxidation which I hoped would be removed by this product. The fact that I tried it several times and it has no impact is a very rare occurrence. Having said that, I am disappointed very rarely when I use Griot's products.
The rubber prep I have used in the past is no longer available, so I decided to get one, because it actually works on the tire, and it also helps prolong the life of your tire by helping it shine along with prolonging its lifespan.
The brownish haze that appears when everything dries has been a constant annoyance for years as I scrub my tires before applying ArmorAll. The Rubber Prep works much better than other tire cleaners by removing all of the gunk with a light wipe. Although the end result for your tires is amazing, it will take some rinsing to get the black from your sponge off until it is completely clean. Spraying it off as another reviewer did doesn't work either, but you can wipe it with a sponge as I did. The best stuff Then and now.
My first step after purchasing new tires was to apply white wall letters, which required a clean rubber surface. I found it easy to remove the oils from the tires after using Griots tire cleaner.
This is perfect for prepping tires before you add tire shine or for preparing exterior plastics before you apply any.
There is no doubt in my mind that this is a MUST HAVE and a I cannot emphasize enough how well it.
