It can be cut without causing the feathers to fall out or the lining to be ruined. I cut it up and attached it to a fuzzy sweater with Velcro strips to make bird wings for my kids' costumes. I'm not sure how well it'd hold up as a skirt, but you could always attach it to an existing skirt with velcro or hot glue.
Yes, I sewed mine onto a costume skirt. The seem was a little thick, to be honest. It all depends on how you feel about the straps.
They look like real feathers to me... They're really nice.
All of the feathers were very white and lovely. I used them to make a JuJu hat.

It was ideal for the Juju hat wall art I created. excellent quality It comes highly recommended.
These were perfect feathers for my juju hat, which I made myself! Good quality, feathers did not shed, and everything was in perfect condition. br>In case anyone is curious, I made the circle 14" and bought three bags. Two and a half bags were used.
The feathers are of excellent quality and are in good condition. It was fantastic. The feathers are of good quality and all point in the same direction, giving my costume a luxurious appearance. For my carnivale costume, I combined these with feathers from a few other companies, and it turned out fantastically.
- Stunning feathers of exceptional qualitybr>- All of them are securely attached to the trimbr>- Cons: Excellent qualitybr>br>Pros: Excellent qualitybr>br>Cons: Excellent qualitybr>br>Con
- I was attempting to sew this onto a school uniform using my sewing machine
There's some kind of extremely sticky adhesive *inside* the trim that clogged up my sewing machine's needle and caused a slew of tension issues.
- (Minor) The feathers are a little off-kilter. This may or may not be an issue, depending on how you intend to use the trim. Tips: br>br>
- It's possible that you'll want to use hot glue for this.
- Staying on the very edge of the trim will not keep you from getting adhesive. It runs the entire length of the pagebr>- To do more than a few feet with this, you'll need a very sharp needle and a powerful machine. My artisan- Before the adhesive began to build up, the grade brother machine had trouble with some of the feathers.
- Consider using only hot glue or applying it by hand. OVERALL: br>br> This is something I'd buy again in a heartbeat. I was extremely pleased with my purchase! I'd just skip the machine application altogether.
I bought two white feather packs, one with silver tips and the other without. When I click to review my order history, it only shows the all white items, but when I click to review it, it only shows the silver tips. I love them and give them 5 stars, but the all white feathers, in comparison to the rest of the feathers I've purchased from this company, were very worn looking. Except for the white, I've bought a variety of colors (and will continue to do so).
It's fantastic, and it'd be ideal for a costume!.
I used these feathers to make wings for a costume I was working on. They're tied together with a ribbon that's simple to work with. The ribbon can be sewn or glued in place. I used E6000 glue to adhere them to the board, and it worked perfectly. Another advantage is that you don't lose as many feathers as you would with a traditional feather boa; my feathers stayed in great shape from the beginning to the end of Halloween.
