The moment I saw it was returning one minute after I unpacked it, it made sense that I needed to send it Despite what its name may imply, this trimmer does not cut at a right angle. In fact, even the grid that is painted on the surface of the knife is not parallel to it There is so much of it that it can be easily seen. A carpenter's square was used to measure it and there is an error over a full 12 inches of the knife of more than an eighth of an inch, in fact closer to a quarter of an inch (see pictures). I laugh at how bad it is The quality of this product is nothing short of a disaster, even for a Chinese product. It is useless.

This is great if you shop for groceries with online printable coupons and are looking for a way to simplify your life. My rating is one star because it served my purpose so well. The clipper was used to quickly cut coupon stacks, with little concern for how straight the cut was, as long as the barcode was not being cut. My tendency to not try hard enough to line this up was to the point that I didn't even notice it was crooked. Almost a year after I purchased the painting, I have a newborn who I have a lot of pictures of and I feel I should frame some of them. My first thought is to think "this thing is perfect! I will be able to get perfect straight lines fit to fit the frames perfectly!". I was lucky enough to have printed only two photos before I tried trimming them to the right size for the frame, and I soon realized that this thing is not accurately aligned, and there is Fortunately, the guard can be easily removed with little force. However, that didn't seem to help me very much. Due to the length of time it took me to realize this problem, I am well past the return window by now. I have attached a photo of a picture I used this trimmer to cut. As you can see if you look at the edges, it is slightly off when lined up straight when displayed on a black background. I find it bothers me enough to make me not want to use it for photos - not a huge amount, but still enough that makes me stop using it. Furthermore, I was too uncomfortable to get on Amazon and write a review while holding a newborn You can imagine how annoyed I am right now if anyone has ever tried to do that before.

We just discovered that the graphics on the board on which you are supposed to align the paper straight are not straight themselves! The item was purchased through Amazon for a business on June 26th. It appears to me that we have passed the return deadline for Amazon. The manufacturer's defect was my concern. I am hoping someone from Westcott will contact me and take care of it.

But when I bought a new paper cutter, the blade no longer appeared sharp. I am very pleased with the paper cutter! The device is able to cut through up to 15 sheets of paper with ease. Plastic guides are included to keep the paper upright and hold it down while it's being read. In spite of cutting hundreds of name badges out of heavyweight printer paper with this blade, it has remained sharp. far, I have not encountered any problems with the paper bending or slipping when I cut it. It's almost as if the paper doesn't even exist! When you're only cutting one or two sheets, it's almost as if the blade is rolling right through the stack.

In the end, there is a price to pay. You can get it at a reasonable price, it cuts well, and you can learn how to use it. That seems sharp to me. But the plastic guide at the top appears to be out of alignment! A photo album is being cut & I'm cutting out photos to go in it It is wave-like and has a slight bend in it As a result of this, parts of one corner of the picture are slipping under the guide. Your cut will be not be To make it more accurate, there should be a metal guide at the top. My only wish would have been to have paid a bit more and We have improved the one we have. A disappointment.

The old heavy one that I left behind when I moved did not satisfy me and I had to buy a new one My thought was that I could replace it with the blade trimmer. When Amazon informed me that the guillotine trimmer I had been looking at was on sale, I was finally convinced. It is equipped with rubber feet to As one reviewer noted, I do not notice the plastic guard getting in the way. I was able to return to the old product, which was better than what I had, and at the perfect moment! Never in my wildest dreams did I envision how big my mistake would be The trimmer helped me make a volume craft for my son's wedding that I would not have been able to complete otherwise. I am very pleased with the Amazon service that notifies me of sale prices when I browse items or add them to my wish list. I did make the following I taped a paper measuring tape that came with a sewing kit I purchased at a dollar store at the bottom. There are 1/2 inch increments on the printed grid, but being able to count in inches is helpful to.

As a paper bead maker, card maker, and scrapper, I enjoy working with papers. As a result, I've been on the lookout for good cutters. You will have a hard time finding them. is one of the best. The device can cut through a thick magazine in half in one shot. The beads I make with it really go a long way. There is no doubt it is very well made and very sturdy. My favorite feature about this plastic guard is that I can lift it off when I need it and snap it back on once necessary. I love how sharp it is and how the cut is so even and precise. The grid and measurements (printed on it) are excellent as well. After searching for so long, I am satisfied to find the cutter that is right for me, and will never consider another. Due to its quality construction, I'm sure it will last for a very long time.
