They sell replacement pads for sure
You can cut with them with glass thicknesses ranging from 2mm to about 6mm, but it depends on how well you cut your initial cut wheel score. It was more difficult to get a good cut on 1/4".
The top jaw adjusts for all angles so you can run scores from any direction.
The strips I use with these running pliers are much thinner than those with Splitting items thinner than 1/4 was a good idea.

As a skilled art glass worker, I am well-versed in the craft. While playing with glass for the past 20 years, I have used a variety of tools. Having heard great things about these running pliers, I decided to purchase them. Because of their reputation, I thought I'd give them a try despite their high price. In the two cases I have tried, I haven't been able to separate a single piece of glass. It was clear to me what needed to be done. It didn't work. I can't even return them anymore, since it has been so long since I received them. There is no value in them. They cost a lot of money, and I am sorry I bought.
The project has been on hold for weeks since every time I turn around, there is another tool I need to use. The running pliers finally helped me break my opalescent glass after I had failed to break it myself. Reading reviews and looking at different ones was a good experience for me. Obviously, these are the most expensive, but they are also the most popular. It was a good decision for me, and I am very pleased with the result. Breaking glass in such a beautiful way is something they are doing. Despite the challenges involved, I have finally made progress on my project and it is so much easier now that I have the right My first try at a decent glass cutter took me three attempts but I managed to obtain the best running pliers on.
As you can see, this is a very simple tool, with a flat, hard rubber jaw on one side and a small, rubber cone on the other. I couldn't run any scores with this tool, which was disappointing. In order to do this, I adhered two thin pieces of wood veneer with double-sided tape to the hard rubber jaw, leaving an empty space where the cone should be. This tool seems to work quite well after it has been modified. It must be something special about what I offer, since most reviewers prefer what I offer. It seems to me that the flat, hard rubber jaw should either be softer, or curved a bit. The tool we used to review the tool has been modified by more than one reviewer here. It should not be necessary to modify a $50+ tool to make it.
Despite this being a well-designed and manufactured tool, this tool is primarily intended for cleaning very thin glasses. In the event that you need to break glass that is 1/8" thick or less, this tool might suit you well, but it has very narrow and delicate edges There is a specific point at which a conical fracture occurs that worsens with glass thickness this point is visible as the glass thickens. For commercial glazing, a tool that distributes the weight over a broader area, further away from the score line, is more effective it is ideal when the thickness is thicker than what is typically used.
My career as a stained-glass artist spans over a decade and a half, but I have never heard of these products. It makes it possible to cut through materials that were previously impossible. An A++++ rating. The next time I'll buy is now. However, when I received the item, it reported that the plastic nubs that went into the tool were damaged (see photo). Though it has not hindered the tool from working, I'm afraid that it may loosen up and fall out down the road. You can't use the tool if you loose the plastic piece. Because of this, I only gave it a 4 star rating instead of a 5 star rating. In addition, I would like to add Despite its late arrival, the Item was as described. The reason behind this has nothing whatsoever to do with the seller or with Amazon. It has to do with the USPS at peak holiday times. So if you need these items the next day, don't expect it.
Despite using my old cutters for simple glasswork and straight cuts, I find the Silbershnitt to be more efficient and accurate when cutting curves. It takes less time to recut and grind.
Since the running pliers provided equal quality to the zero), I was confident they would also perform I have been using these for years, and they work much better than the cheapies. The price is well worth it.
The stained glass craft was a gift I needed to make for my grown daughter, who recently began learning the Her choice was this cutter, and I bought it for her. I asked her about it later after she had used it. She said it made cutting curves and tight areas very clean and straightforward. The woman would like to thank them for the excellent service they provide.
