I haven't tried using the magnetic sheets with vinyl yet. I only use them on DVD cases made of plastic.
I'm sure you could spray paint them, but I'm concerned that the magnetic strength would be harmed. In order to stick to fabric, they would require additional adhesive. They would most likely fall off due to fabric fibers and magnet weight. You wouldn't want to sew through them unless you have a commercial machine that can handle it.
The adhesive side isn't as strong as the plain side, but the whole thing is magnetic.

I do not adhere the sheet to anything; instead, I place dies on the magnet side and slide the page protector over it. Because the sheets are flexible, it's possible that you'll unintentionally dislodge a death while attempting to obtain the one you want - That's the only explanation I can come up with for the negative comments about it not holding dies. Sheets frequently stick together due to their strength and relative thinness. Even the loaded sheets in page protectors are trying to stick together as I flip through my die notebook. If I had to criticize them, I'd say they're prone to scratches - It's not easy, and it has no effect on performance; it's just unattractive. I've purchased these several times, always ensuring that they bear the Marietta brand name, and I couldn't be happier.
This brand of magnetic sheets has become a favorite of mine because they are ideal for my needs. They're what I use to repackage my Stampin' Up! products. dies in order to keep them in a safe place. br>br>I cut the magnet sheet to the same size as the thin cardboard piece that comes with the dies (the one that has sticky tape on it). Then I made a second identical cut. a piece of Stampin' Up!'s thin white cardboard, cut to size DSP. The two pieces of cardboard are adhered together, then the magnet is peeled and adhered to them. It gives me the ideal thickness for storing dies. You are not required to cut the extra piece of cardboard; it is simply a preference of mine. br>br>Once upon a time, I purchased a different brand of adhesive magnet sheets with a very shiny surface (rather than the mat surface that this brand has), and that other "shiny" brand was a little too weak. I find the magnet strength of this brand to be ideal; I've been purchasing Marietta Magnetics products for several years and am completely satisfied with their performance for my needs. br>br>I buy the 20 mil Marietta magnetic sheets in this size (5 x 7) as well as the 8 1/2 x 11 size.
I use it inside my Stampin' Up! folders because it's a good magnet with the right size. My big shot dies are kept in a plastic case.
I shopped around and found this to be by far the best deal I could find. These are what I use to keep track of my thin metal dies. They're great, and the size is just right; I've ordered them twice now, and I'm very pleased! I tried using dollar store magnet sheets, but these are so much stronger and more durable! For me, it was well worth the money invested.
I'm a greeting card maker, and these are what I use to keep my metal dies organized. I did some research because I need a steady supply, and these are the best! Sure, you can pay more for them, and they aren't too thick, but they work perfectly for my needs.
My stamps and dies are kept safe in two-pocket protector sheets. I was able to get rid of three of the three removing the hole punch; & separate the pockets). PERFECTLY FITTING INTO ONE OF THESE POCKETS ARE THESE TINY MAGNETIC SHEETS. I can put my dies on the back and my stamps on the front of the pocket. I simply number each image and stamp it onto a small rolodex card. Everything is in one place, and the magnet keeps my dies securely in place. It's the ideal pairing. They do add some weight, but I simply store my numbered pockets in 5x7 photo boxes and everything is in one place! THESE MAGNET SHEETS ARE PERFECT FOR ME!.
I adore these, and I adore these, and I adore these, and I adore This is the fourth set of these that I've purchased. They're precut to the size I require, which I appreciate. It's got a stickie on the back, which I like. I keep my card dies in these. br>br> On the back of these, I can add a laminated sheet to which I can place the matching stamps. I also keep pins and other small items in them in my sewing cabinet. This is an outstanding product.
They're great for holding dies and are very sturdy. I'll keep buying as long as they're needed.
