Every detail has been taken into account in this template. I was able to add registration marks after the fact since the template was easy to read and has a sturdy front and back side. I ended up with quilt shells that are larger than I would have liked but that is my fault. It can also be used to cut other curved contours. I have so far used it to cut clamshells, but it includes numerous lines and directions for cutting When I use most templates and rulers, I put Invisi-Mark on them To prevent slipping, there is a grip on the back. It may be necessary to also purchase the pattern to understand how to assemble the Glam Clam quilt in addition to following the cutting instructions provided with the template.

This template includes markings for the seam allowance and other details that might not otherwise appear on clamshell templates.

It's nice that the seam allowance is built in, but it's hard to cut both the end pieces and the middle piece.
