This is a fraction of the size of what I've been used to. The blade is extremely sharp, but as you can see, it's only one. This little trimmer, unlike my Westcott trimmer, does not allow you to reposition the blade while a paper is still on the base. I was able to cut eight papers at once without having to exert all of my strength. I chose it because of the color, which is exactly what I wanted. It has a minty hue rather than a blue hue.

NO WAY I'M GOING TO SPEND THE EXTRA $3 OR WHATEVER I've had this for two months and I'm not usually one to spread negativity or write bad reviews, but THIS THING? Not only is it an inch too short for anything but plain regular cardstock (which I knew when I ordered it, but I was trying to save money), but I could compensate by cutting the remaining inch by hand and fitting it in- NO, you can't, and YES, I'm a complete moron- ) Please take note of the sliding blade's design and its placement in the MIDDLE of the clear ruler attachment, rather than on the edge. I didn't realize it would be a problem until I tried to use it that I didn't have a solid plastic edge to measure against. THE REVIEWER'S RECOMMENDATIONS ARE NO. IS CANNOT BE THE OF CONDUCT FOR ANY MEMBER WHO CONVERT AND NEED TO BUY A STRONGER SKILL TO BE MAKE AMERICA'S ONLY APPROPRIATE APPROPRIATE SKILLED MANAGER (or RUNNER IN Spend the extra money on an edge cutter that (is 12 iches) BUT ALSO HAS A BLADE THAT CUTS ALONG THE HARD PLASTIC EDGE OF THE OUTSIDE OF THE RULER SO YOU CAN LINE UP PRECISELY WHERE THE BLADE WILL RUN NOT where you have to eyeball, obsessively measure and mark, crease, guess, or fail trying to line up exactly where you think the ruler's middle will evenly be I know how silly this may sound to some of you, but never underestimate how difficult it is (especially if you are just starting out) to accurately place this stupid frikin sliding blade without the luxury of a physical fixed edge, as well as the additional optical illusion this frikin A symmetrical clear ruler attachment creates when you press it down and have a hard time determining where the actual center of this now OFF CENTER UNIT is. I'm sorry, I know I'm going to come across as a whiner to some of you, but I honestly never post negative reviews, but I just had to stop in the middle of what I was trying to do to write this one. Don't try to use this for anything other than cutting plain cardstock with no consequences unless you're a cardmaker. I'm kicking myself for spending $3 more on - I'm not sure if it's food, socks, or something else- Then I moved on to something I could have used for years with success and pleasure. It's not a good idea to go through with it. Please accept my heartfelt apologies for the bad news.

Adequate. It was supposed to help me save money on card stock. It was simple to set up and use the cutter. The first 20 minutes cut beautifully, exactly as I had hoped. With each cut after that, the blade became increasingly dull. We completed the project and were able to sufficiently cut down 80 cards. I'd have to figure out where I could get a new blade if I wanted to do something similar again or cut something else.

I have difficulty lifting the edge to place paper in to cut, but it cuts accurately and perfectly. However, the area available for picking up the ledge is insufficient. In general, it's just too small. I'll probably get a new one that's bigger, stronger, and easier to lift up the edge to slip paper under.

Even when I line up the paper perfectly straight, the cuts are curved. It's difficult to line up the blade precisely for multiple batches of cuts; I've only cut through five pages of linen so far. At a time, type on heavy-weight paper.

This product does not cut; I was looking forward to receiving it, but it tears and pulls the paper I'm cutting. I was extremely disappointed.

This compact paper cutter is easy to handle and transport from here to there, and the cutter is razor-sharp, allowing the paper to be cut precisely and neatly. It appeals to me.

This is an excellent small paper trimmer. This is a good option if you don't have a lot of space or if your child enjoys crafts. I already have a large, heavy-duty one, but this was purchased for my 6-year-old. It appeals to her.
