With this paper cutter you can do a variety of tasks efficiently, perform different types of cuts, and its lightweight model weighs 4 pounds, 1 ounce, including the magnetic guide. That's quite an improvement from the old heavy wooden models that I used to utilize. The hold looks great and I like how it is designed - The blade of the cutter lifts when the handle is raised, and returns down after the handle is lowered to clamp the paper. The blade also serves as a safety guard, although you can still get your fingers caught in the wrong place while using the shear (like any other paper cutter). To release the blade from the handle, I must pull the handle out to the side, but I am glad that there is a pin on the side to prevent the blade from accidentally falling out. As a nice touch, I received an extra set of rubber feet that I can use in case any of the included ones are damaged or lost. The magnetic guide for repetitive cutting is another nice touch. As I measured the markings on the metal top, I found that they are almost an eighth off. Therefore, if you are planning to do any precision cutting, check your measurements first. There is no need to re-trimm since this will make quite narrow cuts, less than 1/16" wide. The carpenter's rule "measure twice, cut once" is always a good rule of thumb.

It is the best paper cutter I have ever used. The paper is perfect for cutting. The paper is guided by a small guard that drops when the guard is dropped. The swing is half the size of bigger ones but has a "Swing-out" feature If required, you can extend the "out" extension so that you have an even longer straight edge. In addition, the arm latches onto a notch on the side so that (somehow) it cuts without using a scary sharp blade.

And I also have to add. . . In the 1970s, I used a much scarier version of a paper cutter similar to this. My father had a huge industrial paper cutter from the 1950s with a frighteningly sharp blade when I was a kid. As a child, I loved to do crafts with these materials. Having a paper cutter like that enabled me to cut paper chains as well as strips, which I miss a great deal. I am choosing this razor because the sliding razor is a great addition to a razor In some instances, the blades on the paper cutter I had were insufficient. It had always been my dream to have one of these, so I chose this one. My favourite qualities are the design, quality, and size of our skeleton keyring.
