An excellent piece of equipment. Aluminium is the material used to make the marlin spike. It seems to be able to screw on without a problem. Lashing with it is very easy because the handle is light weight, but still sturdy enough to pull on ropes and strings. With the help of the marlin spike's tip, it is easy to break knots in rope and remove them without breaking them. I like the fids because they are well made, and I can easily thread paracord through Three fids are included in the set These are studied enough to push through cotton canvas without bending. They come in flat and needle shapes for 550 paracord and micro paracord. Besides the sail needle, they also include an eye. For smoothing off the cut ends of paracord and melting the ends of bracelet ties, the paracord smoother was the best choice. Straightening tangled cord when making bracelets is a piece of cake with the pointed end of the smoothing tool.

My 11-year-old son loves to make paracord bracelets and other paracord items, so I bought him this. The marlin spike (I think it's the name) was what he was looking for, so I ordered the set because it came with so many It is only been 3 hours since he acquired it, and already, the black tool that can hold some of the tools has completely broken. (See and attach picture). The book was selected as one of Amazon's Choices, and I figured it would be good due to its reviews. It is not clear why he cannot use the other tools, but he is displeased that there is one that just broke.

For the price, they are functional, however the inner diameter is not as large as the outer diameter, which may make projects difficult
