One is a must-have item
5/5

This is the second time I've bought something similar. I used the first one almost every day for a year. br>On a project that she was working on, a dear friend needed me to do some knot work. I instructed Her on how to use this tool before handing it over to her. I can't imagine not having this well-made tool in my toolkit.

JigPro has a fantastic paracord tool
5/5

Changes the way you record! JigPro has come up with yet another fantastic paracording tool. Thank you, guys! I had the original JigPro Knotters Tool, and this one is a little different. The most noticeable difference is the new tool's sharper, more tapered point, which makes it easier to get into tighter knots. The ribbing has also been slightly altered to improve grip. To add some interest, I like to wrap the smaller sections in paracord. In addition, the kink on the pocket clips has been moved down a bit, resulting in a more secure clip. The interior of the Knotters Tool 2 is hollow, so you can store your lacing needles inside. This is a fantastic tool that should be in every paracorder's arsenal! This will allow you to work more efficiently, resulting in a paracord or leather project that is far superior to anything you could have imagined! ***Pro- **
br>br>br>br>br>br>br>b Tip***- I cut two round felt pieces and pushed them into the top and bottom of the tool's interior, allowing the threading needles to rest gently inside while making no noise. You won't have to knuckle under your desk any longer!.

Stainless steel is used
5/5

Exceptional workmanship. Stainless steel of excellent quality. I used sand paper on my lathe to polish the tip, which needed a little polishing. Starting at 300 grit and working your way up to 3000 grit Now it's all nice and polished. A few leather knots were added for decoration and to soften the knurling's edges.

Great tool, super sturdy and well built; I honestly don't know how I managed to complete my paracord projects without it for so long
5/5

But now that I have it, I incorporate it and the fids into almost every project in some way. On some super tight knots/weaves, super strong spikes/fids are less likely to bend than aluminum. br>*I used a dab of glue on the lower portion of the spike to keep it from coming apart, despite the fact that it was designed to do so; I only use the top portion to access the fid storage compartment.

Useless
3/5

It bends far too easily. While the inside fids are fantastic, the tool itself is inadequate for its intended use. When you tighten a paracord monkeyfist, the tip bends, rendering it useless. I'm looking for a way to reclaim my funds.

This is an excellent resource
5/5

I first bought one of the black aluminum ones, and while I liked it, it didn't feel as substantial as I had hoped. I got this in SS and it has a lot of weight to it. For pulling on leather and 550 and up, I prefer this one. Aluminum is better for fine work, such as lacing thin cords and working with 95, micro, and nano cords. It's a million times better than the one I threw together on the spur of the moment. My only wish is that it came with some sort of lid so that you could carry it without it poking holes in your pockets. Fids may not be the most durable, but they are made of aluminum. For heavier projects that require more force, I have some thicker SS ones.

For the most part, it's adequate
3/5

It's a good idea to keep it in your 'kit'. My husband's review, which prompted me to purchase this for him: It's an excellent addition to your 'fun kit. ' However, the steel is quite soft. The tip bent after I stabbed it into some soft wood (pine). br>It was simple to straighten it out, but I would have paid $20 more for the titanium spike from Butterfield if I had known it was so soft and easily bent. br>I like the inside needles. br>I like that it comes apart completely except for one thing - When I twist it to get it through any material that might resist being bored through, the threaded tip piece comes loose on the left twist. It's a little annoying. br>Loctite or something similar could be used to keep it solid, but I think I'd just get a one-piece. I use it a lot for leather and paracord, so it's a useful piece of equipment. br>- troy.

Useful
5/5

With the fire starter moving around inside the knotters tool, a pad on top and bottom would have been useful to keep it from making noise. The case that it came in could have been better, such as leather or something with a belt loop on the back to keep it on your pants or a clip on the back to keep it on the outside of the packet. Apart from that, it's on the tool alone.
