No, this clay is a lot harder.
That is not a good idea, in my opinion. It wasn't designed to withstand the heat generated by coals. It's also worth noting that it bakes at a low temperature. I'm not sure I'd give it a shot. It's important to remember that it's a polymer, which is a term for synthetic organic materials used in plastics and resins.
It closely resembles Terra cotta clay but is not earthen clay, and I use it frequently for jewelry making. It's a poly clay, as the name implies.
Yes, because terra cotta planter pots are made of the same material.

Before purchasing it, I watched a couple of YouTube videos on how to use it. I make miniature gardens, and I saw a woman who used polymer clay and the plastic trays that come in candy assortments as a mold to make miniature flowerpots. I needed something a little bigger, so I found a collapsible ice tray that resembled flowerpots.
My two children (ages 2 and 4) had a lot of fun with this clay. 6) and I. It has a thicker consistency than playdoh, but it's still very moldable and bakes according to the package directions. The children were ecstatic with their baked goods! We bought it to make essential oil necklaces out of clay. If you're looking for a clay that can absorb oil, look no further. That's not the case. Our essential oils simply rolled off the table and were not absorbed. We bought a clay that didn't have any polymer in it and found that it was much better at absorbing essential oils.
We couldn't get this to work no matter what we tried. To put in a bowl, we wanted to make diffuser disks. However, they are not hard even after baking twice, and the oils simply sit on top and slide off. I followed the instructions on the package. What went wrong is a mystery.
For years, I was interested in ceramics, but I recently lost interest. I wanted to purchase some clay to see if I could ease back into it, and this clay is ideal for that purpose. It's simple to mold and shape, and it can also be baked.
I made the switch from white to terracotta, and I'm glad I did. The shade of blue is lovely. A word of advice: leave it in the oven to cool as the oven cools. Cracking is less likely to occur.
This is a very simple and easy way to make shapes. It works just like regular clay or playdough and is fairly stiff. It only takes a few minutes to bake, and you're done. I was able to make a couple of figurines and aquarium caves out of it, and they turned out well (though my technique still needs work:.
I like how it's soft but firm at the same time. It's a unique color. Pretzels are easy to make with these ingredients:.
This clay is fantastic.
