Questions & Answers

What will happen if I use this on watercolor or printed images?

The product I use has been around for a long time and I have printed images on it on many types of materials. If your print is still wet, such as an ink jet print or a felt pen print, you need to be cautious. If you want it to be absolutely dry, make sure it is. Take a soft small paintbrush and brush a light coat of Diamond glaze on the first coat. Be careful not to smear your print if you brush too hard. Once it is dry, you can apply another coat if you wish.

What will happen to inkjet printed paper when this happens?

Some of the red and gold inks sometimes oxidize and turn green, and some gold inks may run. It depends on your inkjet. I use it on antique papers, and the gold inks sometimes oxidize and turn green. If you would like, I can print out a test page - Add some glue, matte or glossy medium, whatever you have at hand, and then paint in sections. It may not run, in which case you will probably be fine with it.

How well does this work with beads painted with nail polish? Will they stand up to water and chipping? Perhaps also making it appear as if it's made of glass?

There are no resins in diamond glaze, and the item may be water resistant, but prolonged contact with water would likely be hazardous to it.

Does it make a very hard surface, similar to that of ?

There is no question that it hardens. Since it is a water-based product It is not waterproof because it is made of cellulose based product. Although it wouldn't hurt to wear it while swimming, you wouldn't wear it!

There are bubbles! As an experienced user of the modge podge finisher and the epoxy resin, I feel comfortable with both products
3/5

As a first-time user, I am figuring this out. As a result of purchasing this Diamond Glaze, I hope that it is a cheaper way to buy resin. Magnets made from bottle caps are finished with a nice finish. While the money saved on amount is spent on chasing and popping bubbles, the money saved on amount is lost. The bubble issue has always been an issue for me, regardless of how many techniques I've tried. Before I use a bottle, I gently squeeze it to release the air. I have also tried letting the bottle relax after each cap is removed. I have no use for this. I can't stop the bubbles from erupting from the bottle cap, whether I squeeze the cap gently or hard. You'll have all the luck you need when it comes to popping bubbles! With a piece of paper, I scooped them out from the edge after herding them to the edge. It would then be necessary for me to pour in more glaze (in the hopes of preventing more bubbles from forming). I still have bubbles all along the edges and in the crevices of all my projects. I am not sure whether it is too big of a distraction, but it certainly was a disappointment The next time I store this, I will store it upside down - Could that possibly be helpful? Additionally, I'm going to buy other containers to see if that has any effect. Despite the product's advantages, the bottle tip is too wide and the glaze too thick to fill in the areas between the photo and the bottle cap. Also the bottle cap is too narrow for the glaze to fill in the notches of a bottle As a result, my efforts to fill these in have led to the following It's as simple as that- Several more bubbles appeared. I am currently mastering this product but I will continue to work on it.

So far, there hasn't been any issues with it As plain as the modge podge brand, this seems to set the standard.

The seals work great to secure the cabochons to the pendants
5/5

When creating gifts or products on Etsy, this sealer is great for sealing cabochons to pendants. There is a glaze around the edges of the glass cabochon at 7CitiesExotics. It dries clear and is fairly fast to set.

You're the best! Are there bubbles? I have no problem with that! Diamond Glaze is a product that I have used for many years and love
5/5

You can use a clean popsicle stick or a craft stick to make bubbles if you are experiencing trouble. You only have to lightly touch them with the stick, and they will fly off. My discovery of this was.

Stunning! It's glass like shine! This is what I used on some Artist Trading Cards to give them a tactical My colleagues asked me "what is that amazing stuff, it's so clear, like glass"
5/5

It dried very glossy and hard.
I had a lot of people ask me that. I read the reviews here and saw other comments about how well it works, so I bought the In fact, I order the large bottle rather than the small one a lot. The material dries pretty quickly, and it is easy to make beads out of, since it is Use a scrap piece of paper to start the flow, the first drop may be a bubble. I DO NOT LIKE IT Use a small applicate tip if you want the glue to stay clear. The little bottle I'm using has a small needle that I use to plug it up. A large needle for use with the medium bottle is also provided.

Paper beads are a great use for this
5/5

To dye, mix with food dye The ink is based on a pigment to produce a glossy finish. One drop of a light colored ink to a penny size dollop of Diamond Glaze is all that is necessary. With a brush, it is applied and is easily cleaned. When dried, it is permanent. This glaze dries to a clear, glass-like finish after it dries on water or other liquids This is a finish I like. In addition, it is a super strong adhesive that bonds to metal, plastic, paper, and glass. When mixed with other dyes, Diamond Glaze can reverse the color of the adhesive These pigments can be used with water-based inks, watercolors, There is an infinite range of color possibilities that can be applied to a variety of materials with this technology.

There are bubbles of air
3/5

It produces air bubbles each time you squeeze the bottle as you fill the bezel, as though there were nothing inside the bottle. To get the best results, I poured some into a small bowl, used a wooden popsicle stick stir to dip the cup, and then dropped the bezel onto the glass. There were a few air bubbles that needed to be popped or moved slightly to the side. DARLING watercolor paper earrings with this resin dome top morphed from a beautiful sky blue to an ugly purple mess after a few hours of wearing. The ICE resin will be my choice in the future, as I will no longer use this product.

Glazes with high gloss are the best
5/5

My favorite glaze (and I have tried about six kinds) for sealing paper beads is Diamond Glaze (it is a bit pricey, but a little goes a long way, and Amazon has the best price). According to Janice Mae's instructions (string the beads on fishing twine, then soak them in Vibrance for about five seconds, hang them to dry for about an hour, dip them again, and let them dry overnight), I did it exactly as she instructed. On the next day, I place the string of beads on waxed paper and coat them with Diamond Glaze with a nail polish brush. Afterward, I repeat the process of drying them overnight. Because of the first two coats of Vibrance, they are glossy so they look like glass beads, and they are very durable. Amazon is definitely going to be my next stop for purchasing this item.

An applicator top has been added to the diamond glaze
3/5

My experience with this product is usually positive, as I have used it for many years. It's every few weeks that I order a new bottle. The new style applicator cap that came with my recent order was awesome. A permanent hole is drilled through the top of the cap. In order to prevent diamond glaze from getting contaminated, its cap needs to be tightly secured Would it make sense to change the design to an open top that is always on? It doesn't fit quite right.

I salvaged the cap from my last bottle, but it doesn't fit quite right. Although I suppose that I can tape the top shut, it is kind of idiotic that I have to do it now. There is no doubt that THIS is probably the most idiotic design change that could possibly be thought.
