I believe it will be strong enough if the single layer of Velcro fits through the small entry area. This product is extremely durable.
When I get back to work next week, I'll take a look at one of the cards I punched and get back to you.
I doubt metal will work because it says "Works well on ID cards, papers, bank cards/member cards (under 1mm), PVC cards (under 1mm), credentials, mobile phone film, luggage tags, business cards, and so on."

When it comes to badges with embedded reader chips, be cautious about where you punch. I look at the front of the badge with a bright flashlight held against the back of it. This serves as a kind of x-ray. The hidden contents of the badge as seen through a ray. Avoid the small lines that run around the badge because they are antennae for the chip, and if you touch them, the badge will stop working.
It's a piece of cake to use! It looks exactly as it does in the picture! br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. br>When I said heavy duty, I really meant it; it's all metal(pro), but it's a hefty little thing to carry around, especially if you have any hand injuries. br>br>I would definitely recommend this to anyone (especially those in the art world)!.
I was able to locate one at Staples. com for a little over $50 (! ) This one was just over $10 on Amazon, with Prime shipping included. It arrived the next day, and it's perfect; it's metal and heavy, and it feels solidly built. I'm not sure how long it'll last, but I didn't need something that could punch slots in a million cards. This one ought to work out well.
This is exactly what I needed to punch holes in vertical blinds, and it works perfectly. The hole is slightly longer than standard, but the height is ideal, and this tool performs admirably. The holes are no longer visible now that the blinds are up.
Punches holes in cards that you want to carry with your ID badge very well. You'll have to be careful about how deep your punches are. If you get too close to the edge, it will tear. If the card is too deep, it will not hang properly.
I buy two punches to see which one will work with the PVC cards I need to punch, based on different reviews. Unfortunately, both punches turn out to be the same product, and they even came in the same box. Allwin is the name of the company on the box. It is also written in Chinese. Because their experiences were similar, I'm using the same review I gave the other punch. I've included a photo of the part of the card where I used this punch. br>br>I bought this punch to make luggage tags out of printable PVC cards. It will punch on the sides of the hole (with a great deal of effort), but not through the center for some reason. A photo of the hole I attempted to punch is included. I had to work hard to get the card out of the punch. I wouldn't use it to punch cards. I'm going to try making some with laminating material, and I'm pretty sure it'll punch right through it, but I bought it because it was advertised as "heavy duty" and "excellent quality slot punch for ID card lanyard hole making. " This product has left me extremely dissatisfied. br>br>Update - I put the punch to the test on my husband to see if it worked better for him. He got the same results, with the sides punching through easily but the center refusing to cut. So I gave the punch a good look to see if I could figure out why it wasn't punching all the way through. The punch has a curved center, similar to the brim of a baseball cap. I don't believe it's punching all the way through because it's not making proper contact with the card's center.
Used to punch holes in the tops of new vertical blinds before installing them.
The punch is well-made and does an excellent job of delivering on its promises. br>However, I find the lack of any ability to set the depth of cut (the distance between the hole and the card's edge) to be a significant shortcoming. If I poke the hole in the intended location, the electronics stored on my access cards are jeopardized. It works perfectly if I carefully align it to a shallower depth.
