It's well made and appears to be sleek enough, but it simply does not function in a useful way. There is no ability to align - this is crucial. As a result, when punching multiple sheets of paper in batches and wanting the same hole alignment in each batch, it's nearly impossible to achieve with any degree of precision. This is a complete waste of money and virtually useless for the purpose for which I purchased it.
EDIT: br>I kept fiddling around with it, trying to figure out what was wrong. I read the papers that came with it, but they didn't seem to help. I took out all of the small plastic pieces, which were already trying to fall off. Of course, this resulted in the entire top piece being removed. I reattached it to my body. It now appears to be securely held in place and is functioning normally. I'm changing my rating-- Even so, I'm not sure what happened.
- br>I was impressed with this hole puncher after only a few uses. The metal construction was solid, and the punch was powerful. Because I already own a Bostitch stapler, I decided to purchase it. The third time I use it, I notice that the small plastic parts that essentially hold the entire mechanism together are popping off, making one simple punch extremely difficult to achieve because the top piece wants to separate from the bottom. I guess I'll have to look for a new three-hole punch because this one is going in the trash.
I was hesitant to purchase this because one of the top "most helpful" reviews claimed that there was no edge to ensure that all of your sheets are consistently level (resulting in each batch of papers having holes in a different spot, resulting in an inconsistent and messy binder-like situation). stuffed with skewed papers). I went ahead and tried it anyway, and I'm glad I did because it DOES have an edge that makes all of your holes consistent. I'm not sure what the other reviewer was complaining about, but this hole punch is identical to every other hole punch I've ever used, and it works flawlessly, producing consistently placed holes in every batch of paper. I'm glad I took a chance and gave it a shot- It's a nice-looking hole punch that works just as well as the bulky utilitarian alternatives.
This one is a keeper for me because it works well, is attractive, and I only use it on a few pages at a time. For those who like their office to be sleek and fun, this is a sure-fire winner. However, the claim of 12 pages is somewhat exaggerated. It's a tight squeeze for them. And it does the job of punching, but not without some effort (and as a metalsmith, I'm not afraid to use my arm muscles). Depending on the thickness of the paper, you can easily punch through about 8 pages. So, if you only need it for minor tasks, it's fantastic. If not, invest in a more robust model.
I decided I needed some binders to organize years of taxes, surgeries, visa paperwork, and other paperwork, and I wasn't going to use my teeny-tiny hole puncher to do it. This is fantastic because it captures the punched holes and is extremely simple to use. Everything was punched and organized in a matter of minutes. I also use it at work (I'm a binder person), so I'm sure it'll be useful in both my personal and professional lives! It also comes in a variety of colors, which is nice; I like the sleek white because it goes with everything!.
Despite the fact that it is a low-cost item, personal monetary hole- This is a fantastic device, puncher. It looked a little more modern with the white top. I'd recommend getting something more industrial if you want to punch more than 5 pages at a time, but for my needs, this worked perfectly.
Because pushing it down is so satisfying, I have to store it somewhere other than my desk. It effortlessly slashes through my papers. Because the part you press is so short, I was concerned that it would be difficult to apply enough force to cut through multiple sheets at once, but it went surprisingly smoothly. It didn't cause any wrist pain, which is unusual for me because I have bad wrists. I really like it, and it goes well with my computer's white, black, and blue theme.
This hole puncher does exactly what it says on the tin. It's simple to use, and you can fill it with up to 12 pages. It isn't expensive, and it isn't particularly heavy. I am confident that this will last for many years.
