Yes! This is the only product I use to make signs for electrical equipment. A 7-watt laser with the same wavelength is what I use. Although it is impossible to cut through (due to the white core), it etches beautifully. Simply run a cpl test with different power levels and speeds to see what happens.
Yes, you can use a table saw to cut the TroLase. In terms of the blade, you'll want to use one designed specifically for plastic, with as many teeth as possible. When you search for "saw blade for plexiglass" on Amazon, you'll get a lot of relevant results, including several 10" x 80 tooth blades designed for these materials. br>br>Trotec Laser, br>Best regards, br>

It was my first attempt at using my CNC to engrave plastic. I wasn't sure about the speeds, feeds, and other details at first, but I was able to figure it out fairly quickly. A 1/8 30 degree was used. BitsAndBits' 016 tip bit. I created my design in Vectric Aspire using a PROFILE PATH (rather than an engraving path) and Helvetica 1L. It worked great at 12,000 RPM with a 42 letter height and 1/32 depth. To get a nice clean cut, I used the same bit to cut a profile at 3/32. To hold it down to the MDF to cut on, I used painter's tape and 2P glue. I'm very pleased with the product's quality.
I'm not sure if there are any instructions for this product, but if you're going to use a laser, make sure the power is turned up and that you don't use transfer tape. I experimented with several low-cost options. Until I got this advice from a pro, I tried power passes and had terrible results.
