Questions & Answers

In what way do you use it?

It can be used to "erase" (sandblast) surfaces that have been coated with paint. As well as etching materials, you can use it to clean surfaces. Like a small sandblaster, again, it works on the same principle.

Over and above the regular Air Eraser from Paasche, this one is much better
5/5

Due to the remote canister being 4# in capacity and as a result of delivering more consistent and reliable performance compared to a regular Paasche Air Eraser, this is a significant improvement. Unlike a clogged abrasive medium, high pressure air entering the remote canister ensures that such air is being circulated. Air pressures higher than 50# are not permitted to be applied to the remote canister, which has a warning label. During my latest attempt, I tried the unit at 50lbs and was not satisfied with how it performed. As a result, there was inadequate air flow, and the abrasive didn't hit the surface at a high enough velocity to clean the surface. The air pressure was increased by 5# increments until it reached a satisfactory level. It is effective to perform at 80# without suffering any adverse effects. As a general rule, I do not recommend using this tool at a pressure that exceeds Paasche's recommendation. However, if you must do so, you might want to increase the air pressure in small increments as described Please do not increase your weight by 80# all at once.

The best tool for the job
4/5

Paache is the old software I have been using. The best tool for the job. The old Paache airbrush eraser with the small canister on the brush has been the instrument I have used for ceramic work for a long time. Removing the canister from the brush is an improvement that allows for better visibility as well as saving time during There is only one complaint I have the abrasive flow is not immediately cut off For stencil work it is no problem, but for freehand it is a problem.

This product should NOT be used to etch glass
3/5

I called the manufacturer, and they pointed me in the wrong direction. The site said it was for etching glass, but In order to etch glass, it would not be able to withstand the PSI. My issue was resolved very quickly by them because they allowed me to return the product for the one that actually etches All things considered, the customer service has been excellent.

Fossils need to be prepped for study
3/5

Arrived intact and within a short time frame. There was little documentation included with the package. My daughter could not figure out how to connect it, so I had to take her to LOWES to buy an It would have been nice if the description on the web site mentioned it only works with fast cutting aluminum oxide compound. It was a waste of money to buy corn starch I did not As it turned out, the slow cutting compound was exactly what was needed. As soon as I got the right compound and thoroughly cleaned the unit, I was good to go. According to the manufacturer, this product has a maximum PSI The chert and limestone levels that I have used have not worked well for me. The unit has been used beyond its specified parameters and has produced good results, but I would not recommend it to others for fossil preparation. In addition, I cannot operate this thing even outside without a box or hood, you'll clog your lungs with aluminum. However neglectful I may be, even outside I cannot operate this thing for very long without a box or hood. At the moment, I am in the process of constructing a blast chamber. With this purchase, like the reservoir and tubing, I may upgrade to a higher PSI rated unit in the near future, and save a few hundred dollars over the cost of purchasing a lab unit in the long run. There is nothing wrong with the pen, it could not be more comfortable or light, and the button seems sturdy and.

Generally speaking, the system works well
3/5

Not enough force is applied to screw on the top. Generally speaking, the system works well. Not enough force is applied to screw on the top. The seal does not work and the leaks continue. In order for it to work, I have to modify it.

The air eraser came yesterday, which I am very excited about
3/5

It is a joy to have my air eraser, which I received yesterday. If you own one, I have a few questions for you. In what type of pressure is it supposed to be used? The instructions told me to turn my air compressor to 40 mph I did that This eraser seems to have very little air and pressure, and the air coming out of it is very Could I increase the pressure if that's the way it is supposed to be? I would appreciate it if you could Please accept my sincere thanks.
