It can be stuck to any sticky back material so that the spray doesn't lift when you spray. I personally use vinyl, but you can also use contact paper from the dollar store. Since I own an etching company, I have firsthand knowledge of the process.
In the manual that came with my air eraser, I found the following information Aim for a maximum air pressure of 30 psi when erasing on paper surfaces.". You should use a higher air pressure between 45 and 65 psi when applying air to metal, gold castings, plastics, or glass. Furthermore, the maximum air pressure is 65 pounds per square inch.
There is little harm in it since I use a cabinet to sandblast metal and the grain isn't exactly something you want to breathe in. In addition, you will be able to keep your work area clean since your medium will not spray everywhere around your desk.
In this way, I can etch soft metals and glass. It is important to have a good template and to be patient. If your compressor does not have a moisture filter, I would suggest one. There is everything you need in the kit for this small project. It is necessary to use extra abrasive when the job is large or requires a lot of work.

I'm not sure what this product's intended use is, but I bought it for that specific purpose. When it comes to this, it works well. The spray gun sprays an even, well-defined pattern on glass that provides excellent results. It is difficult to use on large panels as it sprays a very small pattern, but if you need to do small detail work then this is the right tool. It comes with everything you need to get started if you want to paint with an airbrush. The air compressor will need a 1/4" quick coupler, which will fit right onto the end of this hose if you are using one from your home shop. You may want to pick up a box of more effective dust masks instead of the one you are sent. The mask you receive is probably the cheapest I have ever seen, and I wouldn't trust my lungs to it. Additionally, it came with a small supply of blasting media that worked well. You are, however, liable to incur DEBT if you buy more from this company. You can use fine or extra fine blasting media in this unit. Course media will not work, but I have had good experiences with media with a 100 grit or finer grit. This set didn't win me over for the mask or expensive media, I bought it for the gun, and the gun is wonderful, so I gave it.
I was having trouble after a few uses but a call to their customer service team got me in contact with a pleasant representative who helped me take it apart, clean it out, and reassemble it. The program has worked perfectly ever since and I have been abusing it a good deal. The fact that I now know how to clean them should I have any other problems and that there is fantastic customer service should I require it is also beneficial.
It is a joy to use when it is up and running. Although paasche air eraser compound is used, it still clogs up despite constant sweeping. It was necessary to tear everything apart, to remove the tip and clean it, to blow out the tip, etc. at least every fill and maybe every now and then. It was such a letdown to receive this product after such a huge anticipation. I am very disappointed.
This is an ideal tip for very small areas, it can be controlled easily while being very small. It has been successful to use aluminum oxide media with a 50 micron grain size. The metal surface is well cleaned and rust is removed before the new coating is applied. This is not intended to be used for larger areas as it needs just a small surface.
". All is going according to plan. To remove small letters from N Scale box cars and engines, use Baking Soda. I like this kit a lot. My air supply system required only that I purchase an air supply connector.
I think it did a decent job when it was working okay, but the air button would constantly clog up, requiring one or two minutes of clearing time each time, which is insignificant when you consider how little time you had before it clogged.
The first thing I noticed when I opened the box is that the compound can cause cancer. I bought a compressor just to try it, but I soon realized the compound can cause cancer. My view is that it would be irresponsible not to issue.
As a first time reviewer, I am writing this. It looks like the quality is pretty good, except for one small but crucial flaw. An inner tube attached to the body of the cup makes up the cup. The tube on the top of the cup should align with the screw on the top. It didn't work for me. * This tube is disconnected - It is not aligned with the center and as such, the screw does not fit. As I was forcing the tube into alignment, I had to be careful with the force. There is a screw that allows you to adjust the amount of powder that the nozzle draws in. I give this product three stars for overall quality.
