Yes. It will assist in preventing accidental scratching of the work of art. When shipping artwork, we use it as a protector (the layer of material closest to the artwork).

The paper is of archival quality and has a pH of 7.0. It is utilized for the storage of photographs, paintings, and other similar materials.

EXACTLY WHICH I WAS SEARCHING FOR! I have some 11" x 17" metal (aluminum) photography prints that I made for an art show in Detroit, Michigan to showcase my photography work

Despite the fact that I had sold a few prints, I still needed to buy some boxes (which I did). check), and bubble wrap (which will arrive this week). check) as well as some acid-based products. 2 days ago, I received a free glassine paper. check) to shield the front surfaces of the 11" x 17" metal prints I had left over from the art show (from fingerprints and scratches). br>br>Amazon packaged the roll in a long, square tube-style box that is designed to hold tube rolls like this one. The item was in perfect condition when it arrived, and it was wrapped in clear plastic. A 1/4-inch gap appears after removing the clear wrap. The paper's end edge is taped in place with an inch thick masking tape. br>br>I was able to cut the glassine paper roll to the size I needed, and I'm very pleased with this product; as another reviewer mentioned, it's a translucent white paper that can be seen through (similar to wax paper), which is important so that I know what's what, but it's also important because it's acid-free. This paper has acid-free and ph-balanced properties, so any photography prints I wrap with it won't be damaged. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! br>br>.

If you're making pastels, you'll need glassine, but it's a heavy product to ship, which makes it expensive

I had no idea this paper could play such a significant role in your life. It will last for a long time and be useful in a variety of projects. Because it's light and sheer, you can use it for a variety of art and craft projects. To conceal, protect, or track something. If you don't have parchment paper on hand, you can use it to cover sticky foods or layer cookies.

Because I haven't used any other glassine, I can't compare its sheerness to anything else. It's thick enough that I can cut it into large pieces to protect the paint and ink on lithosgraphs that I roll up and mail in postal mailers. For the size of the roll, the price seemed reasonable.
