Unfortunately, these brushes lack the strength to maintain a point while transporting paint. They bend too far and spread too easily to allow for fine detail work. They may appear attractive and feel comfortable in the hand, but they are worthless if they do not serve the purpose for which they were designed. br>br>I bought them with the intention of painting board game miniatures, but I can't recommend them for that purpose.
I bought this DACO set to paint with watercolors, specifically to paint fine lines like whiskers. The brushes' inability to hold paint was a major disappointment for me. When these brushes run out of paint, they are completely dry, as you can see in the attached photo. I only got about a one-inch line before they ran out, even with watery paint. With oil or acrylic paint, it might be a different story, but I'm not sure I'll ever use them with watercolor. Also, they're just so-so in terms of comfort. I tend to hold the brush father down towards the hairs when doing detail painting, which was beyond the fancy ergonomic point with these brushes, so that feature was useless to me. Overall, I didn't find these brushes to be particularly useful.
Naturally, they lost their shape over time and began to hook too much to be useful. The second set, on the other hand, was terrible. br>br>Hooking occurred after only two warhammer miniatures had been painted. One of them is aggressively splitting. A few of them have very uneven bristles, making anything other than slathering on a base layer impossible to paint with. Trimming one's own hair isn't working out. Instead of synthetic brushes, I'm returning these and looking for some sable brushes.
The one brush that did hold the paint (the angle brush) lasted almost an entire painting, but halfway through it began to bend at the tip, and I had to be very careful - But, about a third of the way through, I had to abandon the brush. br>The rest of the set is a complete waste of money at $20.
They assist me in obtaining even the most minute details. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE is the word that comes to mind when I think of the word " br>This is a painting I did for the front door of my house. Because I live in the US Virgin Islands, a tropical door was the perfect way to add a pop of color to my home.
I'm an old man who paints by numbers, and while I enjoy it, the paint brushes that come with these sets are terrible. I discovered these brushes after experimenting with a few others, and they are fantastic. They're comfortable to hold and control, and best of all, they're designed for very fine detail work, like the pbn canvases. I would purchase this item again.
These brushes are fantastic for edging and small areas, and cleaning them is a breeze! Before using the glue for the first time, make sure it's completely dry. Now, this is my all-time favorite business! I also purchased a larger set of brushes from the same company, and both sets are highly recommended.
They are extremely comfortable to use and allow me to paint in great detail, particularly in small details and difficult-to-reach areas. I'm not sure how I survived before they came along! They are of excellent quality and should last a long time if properly cared for; I have used them numerous times and cleaned them immediately after each use, and they are still in excellent condition. They've become one of my new favorite brushes!.
