I haven't tried them for that, but they seem to work well with varnish. Because it's dense foam, I think it'll work as well.

Handles are made of 1/2" thick wood. These are the best brushes on the market. Hold up well to solvents and stains, and unlike many others, will not swell and fall off the handle. I use them to apply Tung Oil and Citrus Solvent to my Real Milk Paint (Real Milk Paint - Half& Half) is made of wood. There are some foam brushes that are better than others. This is fantastic. Do some research on the vendor. Because the seller used DHL, which has a history of delivery issues, it took 16 days to receive them. I'll place another order, but not until I'm out.
For several years, I've used foam brushes to apply tung oil finishes to my woodworking projects. Foam brushes, in my experience, do an excellent job of applying finish and are inexpensive enough that you can discard them after a single use (much less expensive than repeatedly cleaning a non-metallic surface with mineral spirits). Brush (disposable). I had been purchasing my foam brushes from Lowe's up until now. The foam brushes for sale there usually cost around $1. 15/piece. They are of poor quality and frequently break or snap in half when used. I never really thought about it because I've always thought of foam brushes as disposable or one-time use items. It occurred to me a few months ago that I might be able to find foam brushes even cheaper on Amazon (I'm not sure why I never considered this before). I came across these foam brushes and decided to buy two of them. They're not only less expensive than brushes from big box stores. They're of insanely high quality. The foam is probably 2 inches thick and the handle is super sturdy. 5 times the thickness of the ones sold in big box stores. These foam brushes are incredible, and they make applying finish a lot easier than the cheap, chinsey brushes available at local big box stores. I'm never going to buy another foam brush. I would HIGHLY recommend this product and will most likely purchase it again.
They break down, leaving behind black "hairs" and small black specks on the work surface. The second box (which I ordered before the first box began to fail) is behaving in the same manner. Polycrylic is being applied to white paint. Like a sore thumb, the black specks and "hair" stand out. Moving forward, I'm on the lookout for better brushes.
Jen foam brushes are the most effective foam brushes on the market. Unlike any other brush on the market, this one is superior. The foam is strong and dense. During the finishing process, these brushes maintain their shape and do not begin to crumble. They come in handy when I need to clean up after a spill. water-based and based on finishes with a base When I use water, in fact- I can apply all three coats with a single brush when using oil-based finishes: The brush is easy to clean and will last a long time if used frequently. Jen brushes are the only foam brushes that I will use as a professional carpenter and cabinet maker. I strongly advise you to purchase them.
I'd buy them again.
I do a lot of home improvement projects, and when it comes to refinishing cabinets or furniture, you need a good, solid foam brush, or your stain will streak and look awful. These brushes are far superior to any I've previously purchased. I also like that I can get brushes up to 4 inches wide, whereas in stores you can only get two or three inches wide.
These foam brushes are the best I've seen because the plastic support doesn't break while in use, unlike many others on the market today. My only recommendation is that they use a stronger glue to adhere the foam to the plastic. This one dissolves when the brushes are washed, making it inefficient and unfriendly to the environment.
These are what I use to apply latex and polyurethane paints.
