Questions & Answers

How is it possible that getting this item will take 30 days? I placed an order on October 1st, and they have yet to arrive. ?

On the 11th of January 2019, I placed my order in August and have yet to receive my package. The cost is extremely reasonable. Or is the real answer to your question "too good to be true"? While I wait, I continue to place smaller orders each month. It would be beneficial if you could provide an explanation. Jen is the most wonderful person.

Are these suitable for use on canvases? I'm a painter, and I'm looking for a way to apply liquid clear to my canvas using the wet on wet technique. ?

I haven't tried what you want to do, but I can assure you that these foam brushes are of good quality and will not fall apart or crumble like the cheap ones. I've used them with oil paints, stains, and varnishes with great success. They don't leave any smudges on the surface.

Is it possible to use these brushes with polyurethane that is based on solvent?

I've cleaned one of these brushes with mineral spirits after applying polyurethane. I cleaned the brush with mineral spirits after using it four or five times. When I tossed the brush, it was in decent shape. I recently decided to use a new one for a guitar headstock's final finish. These should not be compared to the brands found in big box stores. Because of the low density of the foam, they only last me once for the same job.

Is it possible to use it to seal the grout?

I've never tried it for that, but I've used brushes for a variety of things, including applying contact adhesive, so I'm guessing it'll work. I'd recommend testing the sealant on a test (throwaway) item to see if the foam retains its integrity.

Selected User Reviews For Jen Manufacturing Inc. Poly Foam Brush, 2 Inch (Pack of 48)

Do you have a project that necessitates the use of foam brushes? This is exactly what you need! For quite some time, I've been on a mission to remove the honey oak from our property! I've used MANY foam brushes during this process, but these are the only ones I am leaving a review for because they are awesome compared to 99% of the choices out there! I've used paint, gel stain, and poly coats with them
5/5

1. br>br> These brushes are built to last a long time. It's more than just a wooden post with a shaped foam piece affixed to the top. Those kinds (you're familiar with them if you've used them). ) do not maintain their shape and, after a short period of use, simply droop due to the weight of the liquid. These brushes have a piece of material in the middle that prevents the brush from drooping. It looks like a thin stiff piece of felt.
2. The foam is exceptional in and of itself. I've seen pieces torn off from the tiniest snag in the wood I'm painting/staining when I've used other brushes. These appear to be a denser foam, which aids in their ability to maintain their shape.
3. Longevity - Both of the previous paragraphs mention durability, but one thing I've been able to do with these brushes that I wouldn't dare to try with other brushes is wash them out and use them again - Yes, you read that correctly. I had been painting various things white and went to the sink to rinse it out, dry it with paper towels, and it was basically brand new. It was as if I had picked up a brand new brush the second (and third!) time I did this with these brushes. br>br>I'm never going to buy another foam brush. I'm sold!.

Use this low-cost foam brush for applications that do not require a nice finish
3/5

The top foam brush in the photo is from Home Depot, and this product is below it. When you blow it up, you'll notice that the foam is very porous, unlike the other HD foams. These are what I use to finish Shaker Oval Boxes with. Despite the fact that the manufacturer claims that these brushes can be used with paints, stains, and varnishes, they are not suitable for creating a beautiful finish. Stain and paint are two things that come to mind when it comes to finishing a Most likely, everything will be fine. They're wimpy, though, and turn into wet noodle status when they're full of product. So now I have a lot of them, probably enough to last a lifetime, for applying stain, which is all I'd use them for.

One- Third the price of 2" foam brushes at big box hardware stores, and made in the United States
5/5

"Jen Manufacturing Inc. is a company that manufactures products for the automotive industry. " My woodworker husband and I both needed 2" Poly Foam Brush (Pack Of 48) to finish projects or paint. The 2" brush's angled head makes it ideal for working in tight spaces. The wood handle measures approximately 4" in length and 12" in circumference. I use these brushes for craft projects or when painting a room in the house to cut down on the amount of paint I use. as much as is required When painting a toy or stepstool for the grandchildren, they work well for getting a smooth finish with no brush marks. The best part is that they are simple to clean and re-use. br>br>At one-half-hour intervals, one-half-hour intervals, one-half-hour intervals, third the cost of 2" foam brushes from the big-box store 79 cents vs. 25 cents in big box hardware stores "Jen Manufacturing Inc. is a company that manufactures products for the automotive industry. " The "2" Poly Foam Brush (Pack Of 48)" is a great deal. What's more surprising is that these brushes are made in the United States. These 2" foam brushes from Amazon are a good investment.

There's a distinction to be made here
5/5

These Foam Brushes are simply superior to the large-scale foam brushes. Versions sold in a box or at a hardware store. I recently completed a project that required me to refinish wicker furniture. I used a primer as well as a heavy-duty exterior paint. These brushes keep going and going without falling apart or losing their shape. I bring a big ziplock bag with me. After that, seal the bag with the Jen Foam Brush inside. With just one brush, I was able to paint, repaint, and repaint several coats. It may be difficult to believe, but these brushes really do make a difference. I ordered 48 of these six months ago and just received my second shipment.

They last a long time! Jen's foam brushes were first introduced to me many years ago
5/5

Because the foam lasts a long time and rarely breaks down (as opposed to other brands that fail quickly), it's ideal for applying finishes to my woodworking projects. I just finished one with an oil-on-canvas technique. as a finish coat of polyurethane-based polyurethane-based polyurethane- The foam brushes make for a neater process by allowing for an even application. I'll keep one in a plastic sandwich bag in between coats - As a result, it doesn't dry out as quickly, extending the life of the brushes. They'll also be used to apply gel-based cosmetics. stain the wood before using a staining pad to spread it - Dipping the brush into the can is simply a "neater" process.

For their intended use, this is a fantastic purchase
5/5

It's all about the indented use here once more. No, they aren't a replacement for high-end brushes, but they can't be beat for slopping paint, cleaning up runs, or simply hitting a bare spot. The best part is that they're cheap and can be thrown away. Now think about how many times I've washed them out to reuse them, oops. My face is flushed! Call me a scrooge. I'd add these little darlings to my shopping list at any time.
